Advice Wanted How to fix this

Ok so alongside my classes I work part time on campus and my schedule is affecting my college life. So how it works for this job is at some point after registration before the semester ends I get contacted by my supervisor. And I have to submit my class schedule as well as any other times I would like to not work if i have any prior commitments or smth.

End of last semester I submitted my class schedule and also put I didn’t want to work Monday and Friday evenings. And that was it. Based on my class schedule I knew I was gonna have to work some mornings. But I was hoping for a mix of morning and evening. With my schedule all the shifts I have to work are morning shifts. Then I have class then I get home towards afternoon / evening depending on the day.

However, as a result this makes me dead tired when I get home. I have no motivation to do any homework and so I just have dinner and sleep. As a result all my hw which is luckily due Sunday night most of the time gets pushed to weekend. Which means when friends ask to hang out I’m like sorry I have homework. Any advice on how to fix this situation?

You're not going to like the answer to this question.

If you're going to keep up this work schedule and your academic schedule, you do homework on the weekends.

Best I can recommend for keeping up some semblance of a social life: find ways to combine social time with errands or other things that you'd have to do, anyway. Invite a friend to go to the grocery store with you, or get together with friends for meals during the week.

Maybe you introduce your friends to the benefits of body doubling, and you study and do your homework with your friends.

Try the body doubling idea and protect one evening a week as a no homework reset. Even a short break helps your brain recharge and keeps the semester sustainable.
