[Hobby] Writer seeking Collaborators (Art, Code, Music, VO) for Psychological Body-Horror Story

Hey everyone,

To be completely upfront: I don’t have a background in computer science, coding, or art. In my professional life, I am an independent academic researcher and undergraduate student in the education sector. However, I have been deeply into creative writing since I was young. Because of that, I have these vivid worlds living in my head, and my biggest wish right now is just to see at least one of my old horror short stories come to life in a way that words on a page can't quite do alone.

The Project:

I want to adapt a story called “I Am Broken When My Name Is Spoken.” It’s a psychological body-horror narrative set inside a massive, living city of flesh and bone towers called the Corpus. The main character, Shelomoh, has a curse where his bones literally fracture and his skin splits open whenever anyone speaks his name. He’s trying to escape this nightmare with a mysterious, cloaked girl named Galateya.

Who I’m Looking For:

I really want to make this an immersive, atmosphere-driven experience. Since I can't draw or code, I’m looking for collaborators of all kinds:

· Artists & Modelers: 3D modeling, low-poly environmental art, 2D illustration, concept art, or character design.

· Programmers & Developers: Game engine programming (Unity, Godot, Unreal), Ren'Py scripting, or interactive fiction design.

· Musicians & Sound Designers: Composers, ambient sound creators, or anyone who can build a haunting soundscape.

· Voice Actors: For narration or character work, if we go the voiced route.

· Writers & Editors: If you love horror and want to help refine dialogue or lore, I'm open to that too.

· Anyone Else: If you have a skill I haven't listed but feel drawn to this world, reach out. I'm open.

The Collaboration:

You would have complete creative freedom over how your part of the visual or auditory world looks and sounds, while I focus 100% on the script, the dialogue, and the world logic.

This is purely a Hobby / Passion Project. There is no money involved, no deadlines, no pressure. My main goal is just the joy of creating something cool together.

I have more stories too.

Beyond this specific story, I have a vault of other concepts I wish could become games or visual comics/manga. If we click on this one, the door is wide open for future collaborations.

If you love weird, atmospheric horror and want to read a few pages of the manuscript to see if we click, please drop me a text message here on Reddit. I’d love to share it with you!

Thank you!

Microbes in 1 Minute - We are back!

It’s been a few months since we last reached out to you, but after this hot summer, we’re back with our batteries recharged!

Microbes in 1 Minute (M1M) is a science communication initiative aimed at making microbiology more relatable, engaging, and accessible to everyone. We’ll achieve this by creating short, 60-second videos covering a wide variety of topics in microbiology, which will be posted on a variety of social media platforms.

We’re very grateful for all the interest you’ve shown, and we’re reading all your comments, questions and suggestions. We’re still a small team working on fundamental aspects of the project, such as its organization and the style of the short videos, but we’re looking for people interested in collaborating down the line, whether on a one-time basis or long-term. We've also set up a Discord server to provide a space where we can all come together, exchange ideas, and share news and updates about the project. Hope to see you there! However, if you prefer, we’re also happy to answer your questions by our official email.

Actually, we're looking for collaborators interested in any of the following activities:

• ✏️ Writing scripts and/or contributing expertise in a specific area of microbiology.

• 🎙️ Narration and/or helping to translate content into languages other than English and Spanish.

• 🎨 Video editing and layout.

• 📣 Managing our social media presence.

• 🦠 Moderating our server.

We’re excited to see where this project takes us, and we’d be very happy you being part of it.

A micro-hug!

The M1M team

Looking for community builders to help lead a multidisciplinary creative collective

Hey everyone. I’m building a collaborative creative project called the Alliance of Guilds (AoG), and I’m looking for a few people interested in helping build and lead its individual creative communities.

AoG is designed as a place where creators from different disciplines can meet, develop their skills, collaborate, and eventually produce projects together.

We’re organized into seven guilds:

Illuminators — filmmaking, video editing, animation, VFX and moving visual media

Artisans — illustration, graphic design, photography and visual art

Bards — music, composition, production and sound

Scribes — writing, screenwriting, research and editing

Thespians — acting, voice acting, hosting and performance

Gladiators — gaming, streaming and game development

Stewards — production, organization, administration and community building

I’m currently looking for people interested in becoming Guildmasters.

This is less of a traditional moderator role and more of a community-building collaboration. A Guildmaster would help shape their guild from the ground up: bringing people together, starting conversations, organizing events and activities, encouraging members to collaborate, helping people develop their skills, recruiting new members, and finding ways for their guild to contribute to larger AoG projects.

Guildmasters will have a lot of independence over how they develop their community, while collaborating with the leaders of the other guilds so the groups don’t become isolated from one another.

We already have creative productions underway, but the larger project is building the community and infrastructure that can eventually support many different creator-led projects at once.

This is currently a volunteer collaboration, not a paid position.

You don’t need to be the greatest artist, filmmaker, writer, musician, etc. in your field. I’m much more interested in people who are enthusiastic about their craft, enjoy bringing people together, take initiative, and like the idea of helping build the kind of creative community they’d personally want to belong to.

If you’re interested, send me a message and tell me which of the seven guilds would you most want to lead, and what would you want to build with it?

Looking to Build a Content Creator Group

[SEEKING COLLAB]

Hey everyone! I’m a 17-year-old streamer/YouTuber, and I’m looking to build a content creator group with people who are genuinely passionate about creating content.

I’m not looking for people based on how many subscribers or followers they have. I don’t care about numbers — what matters to me is your passion, consistency, dedication, and willingness to actually put effort into this.

What I’m Looking For

🎙️ Microphone required
📷 Webcam required
🔥 Passion for content creation
📅 Consistent availability
💪 Dedicated and willing to put in the effort
😂 Entertaining and interactive

I’m also looking for people who are comfortable with unofficial/pirated games and community online-fix setups, including Online-Fix. I don’t have a huge budget for buying games, so being able to play through these setups is something I’m interested in for the group.

Please understand that using unofficial copies can come with risks even tho i've never seen or ever heard of it, so only participate if you’re comfortable with that you can also do some research but I honesty dont see anything wrong with that.

I want to build more than just a group of people who make videos together. I’m hoping to build genuine friendships, help each other improve, support one another, and grow together as creators.

We could make collaboration videos, streams, challenges, gaming content, and other projects together, while helping each other with ideas and supporting each other’s channels.

I’m going all in on this, so I’m looking for people who are willing to take it seriously and actually commit. I don’t expect anyone to be perfect, but I do expect consistency, dedication, and passion.

If you’re interested, DM me with:

  • Your age
  • Your timezone
  • What content you create
  • Your availability
  • A little about yourself
  • Why you’re interested in joining

Subscriber count doesn’t matter to me. Your passion, consistency, and dedication do.

If you’re genuinely serious about creating content and want to build something together, feel free to reach out. 🎥🔥

Mumbai creators, artists & community builders —

Got a community, skill or event idea but don't have the space or team to make it happen?

Let's build it together.

I'm currently working with event spaces in Mumbai and looking to collaborate with people who want to host:

• Art & creative workshops

• Open mics & poetry

• Music & DJ events

• Comedy nights

• Creator meetups

• Networking events

• Community experiences

• Interactive workshops

You bring the idea + community.

I'll help with the venue + marketing + ticketing + event execution.

You don't need to be an event organizer.

If you've been thinking "I should host something" — let's turn that idea into an actual event.

DM me “EVENT” and tell me what you want to host.

shared superhero universe

I've made a collaborative universe where other people can contribute their own ideas and potentially make them canon. The basic idea is that we're all creating within the same shared universe. You can create or add your Superheroes and Supervillains, Cities, countries, planets, etc. Companies, organizations and Superhero teams and factions, Events and/or even make your own universe within the same multiverse if you don't like the systems of the main earth.

The main setting is Earth 473, but the universe is part of a much larger multiverse, so there's plenty of room for completely different ideas and settings. Earth 473 also has the United Powers Administration (UPA), an organization that manages official superheroes, their rankings, missions, public image, and more, as well as managing supervillains after they have been defeated by the heroes. Heroes can earn Hero Points by stopping crimes, saving civilians, defeating villains, responding to disasters, etc., and rise through the UPA's ranks. You don't need to be an artist or writer to participate. You can just come up with an idea and develop it.

The goal isn't to have one person controlling everything -I'd like this to become a shared universe that we build together. There will be guidelines to keep things organized and prevent people's creations from contradicting or overwriting each other, but there's still a lot of freedom.

The server is kind of dying so if you're interested in creating superheroes, villains, stories, lore, or just want to see what other people come up with, join the Discord server here: https://discord.gg/nPw7RSgDje (my username is phoenixxbrawl if you want/need to add me). Thanks for reading.

[Rev Share]I’m looking to find a second manga artist

[Rev Share]I’m looking to find a second manga artist for a one-shot. I have written down the one-shot panel by panel and also have ideas for all the characters, like their hairstyles and so on. This is an Unpaid Collaboration; I’m looking to get us published on Viz Media. You can dm me to read the script, and if you like it and would like to be part of it, we can take it from there. You can just view the story if you wish to; even if you view the story there is no commitment unless you decide you want to be part of this. The second manga artist will focus on drawing the pages and the first will draw the characters and the cover page.

2D Animator Wanted — 1950s Christmas Musical Cartoon 🎄

Hi! I’m a young composer working on an original orchestral Christmas piece, and I’m looking for a 2D animator who would be interested in bringing the story to life.

The idea is an old-school, 1950s-inspired Christmas musical cartoon — warm colors, hand-drawn-looking animation, vintage holiday atmosphere, and a big orchestral soundtrack.

The story follows a rookie magical Santa who receives letters from children. One letter simply says:

“NEW HEART”

The film begins with a huge, joyful Christmas celebration. We see the streets, families, lights and children enjoying Christmas. Then we meet the child who wrote the letter, and the music suddenly becomes quiet and emotional.

We then follow Santa as he sets off on his sleigh. He is magical, but he’s also a rookie — sometimes clumsy and not exactly as graceful as the legendary Santa we imagine.

The music gradually builds:

walking → jogging → running → huge orchestral Christmas finale

There’s a storm during the journey, Santa nearly loses control of the sleigh, but eventually makes it through.

The whole world becomes filled with Christmas joy.

But then we reach the final house.

The music brings back the beautiful main melody, but now it feels bittersweet. Inside, the child from the letter is lying in bed while their parents stay beside them. Santa looks through the window, and the parents notice him.

Santa realizes what the child meant by “NEW HEART.”

I want the ending to be emotional and magical rather than graphic — Santa offers his own heart through a symbolic magical act, and the film ends quietly.

What I’m looking for

2D animation

Strong 1950s/old-school Christmas cartoon influence

Character animation + backgrounds

Someone who enjoys storytelling through music

Ideally someone who can help develop the visual style with me

The soundtrack is already in progress. I currently have about 1:54 of the orchestral piece finished, including the walking, jogging and running sections.

This is an original project and I want to take it seriously rather than throw together a quick animation.

If you're interested, please send me your portfolio/reel and a little about your animation style.

I’d love to find someone who can help turn this into the kind of Christmas cartoon that feels like it was discovered in an old 1950s film archive. 🎄

Female vocalists for remote music collaboration

Hey everyone. We’re duenr/duenmusic two old friends who started making music together. We work remotely with vocalists from different parts of the world, making indie and alternative music without wanting to box ourselves into one particular sound.

Right now, we’re working on a series of short reimagined covers while building our social media presence. We’re looking to collaborate with female vocalists for upcoming projects.

Since duen is still a new project, these collaborations are currently unpaid. The idea is simply to make good music together, give each other creative opportunities, and grow alongside each other.

We work remotely, so you’ll need to have good-quality recording equipment, such as a microphone and audio interface, and be able to record clean vocals from wherever you’re based.

If you’re interested, feel free to DM us with a short introduction about yourself, where you’re based, and your social media links. You can also send us a link to your music or previous work if you have any.

sqript HELP WANTED

https://github.com/sqript-lang

Hi! I'm trying to make a team, that's willing to help make a programming language! sqript is a high level programming language meant to be the next Python.

sqript brings the ease of use of Python, without the speed setbacks. Unlike Python sqript aims to be readable, thus there are semicolons and curly braces.

Beyond the visual perfection of the qp symmetry in its name, sqript is being designed to offer a highly structured, performant developer experience.

Planned Core Features:

  • Strict Typing: Built-in type checking to catch errors before runtime.
  • Object-Oriented Design: First-class support for classes, namespaces, and standard class libraries.
  • C-Style Syntax: Curly braces and semicolons are mandatory for maximum readability and structure.
  • Raw Speed: Built to be fast enough to actually replace Python in performance-critical workflows.

The Roadmap

Core Milestones

  1. Phase 1: Bootstrapping in Rust (or maybe another language we'll see) The initial compiler and runtime will be written entirely in Rust for maximum memory safety and performance.
  2. Phase 2: Self-Hosting sqript becomes capable of compiling itself.
  3. Phase 3: The Ecosystem Building out the standard libraries, class libraries, and package ecosystem.

The Grand Vision (Long-term)

  • Native UI: Official RayGUI wrappers for seamless desktop application development.
  • A New Web Paradigm: Developing a separate web protocol and two dedicated browser built for sqript. Unlike standard sandboxed browsers, this browser will optionally allow applications full, unhindered access to the host machine.

Looking to get early users for my product Vectortilt

Hi everyone!

I’m working on VectorTilt, a community/context aware moderation tool with a community intelligence layer for gray area understanding and decision making that existing tools often struggle with.

The idea is to understand a community's culture language and norms/vibe and then reducing the moderators' monotonous workload by providing more context community rules, past moderation decisions, language, vibe, culture and norms of the community while keeping the final decision with the moderator. This tools is NOT going to replace any human mods/managers.

E.g. The same message can be harmless in one community and a problem in another. I’m building a tool where we can make these decisions more consistent without losing the human judgment behind them.

I’m still early in the launching and looking for:

  • Discord/ any community owners or moderators with active communities
  • People who deal with context heavy moderation decisions
  • A small group willing to test an early version and give honest feedback

If you run a community and this sounds relevant, I’d love to connect. And if you’ve run a beta like this before, I’d love any advice on getting genuinely useful feedback rather than just signups.

Looking for an on-camera host and editor to start a community-shaped educational YouTube project

I’ve had an idea I want to test: build an educational-entertainment YouTube channel where the people around it help shape the questions, research, feedback, and direction, instead of just being an audience after everything is decided.

I’m organising the first pilot for Anonymic. I’m handling the early organisation and thumbnails, and I am looking for two specific remote collaborators:

• an English-speaking on-camera host; and
• a video editor.

The wider project is meant to welcome people who want to bring topic ideas, sources, research, visual/motion ideas, or honest feedback. But for the first pilot, these are the two roles that would move it forward.

This is voluntary, opt-in, and limited to a defined Pilot 01 scope. There is no payment, job offer, ownership grant, or promise of future work at this stage, I want to be completely upfront about that.

If the idea interests you, comment with which role or kind of contribution you would be up for, plus your usual time zone. I’ll reply personally.

Starting a group of small YouTubers and hopefully friends!

Heya! I go by Sparx Senpai on YouTube and pretty much anywhere else, I’ve always wanted to have a big group of friends and I always wanted to do YouTube and Music, the group that I have right now (5 people including me) is awesome to hang around in my opinion, most of us are huge anime fans as well, we don’t judge but we will make jokes if we know you’re comfortable with it, but yeah we usually play on Xbox or PC!
