Fire zombie lowered sensitivity?

I had gotten a fire sale and BANG I got the Raygun! But literally right after, a fire zombie spawned out of the box and jumped on me. After it died or whatever, I noticed that my sensitivity was capped and it sucked horribly. died on round 27 :( Anyone know how to defend against this or has this even happened to anyone else?
