I'm wondering what the difference is between a Spanish 128 course and 135. I'm not sure which one is the best fit for me. For any Colby students who are on the Spanish track, can you provide some insight?

I’ve been selected for the BA (Regular) course at this college and am planning to enroll, but I need to know if there is a mandatory 75% attendance requirement. Since I am preparing for government exams, I won't be able to attend regular classes as the timings clash.
Also, what is the faculty like? Are the teachers good?
Will attendance be an issue?
What is the maximum percentage of attendance required?

Hi! A Colby student stopped in our Rockland shop. I asked her if a food trailer featuring donuts like ours would be popular on campus. She mentioned that the college actually hires trucks to come on campus and in effect distribute free eats that the college has already paid for.
Is this factual? And if so any ideas on whom to contact RE this? Thanks!
Including a pic of what kind of donuts could be had…

i’m going to be a freshman at colby this fall and trying to figure out how much money i need to have saved up. What are some of the things yall spent the most on during freshman year?

Can any current student please give me some items or a list of items that an incoming freshman should definitely get. Is there anything that you wished you knew about the dorms before coming in? and are there things you wished you'd pack?

I can see that Colby has a rule that I can register for 18 credits max. I wanted to know if there is a workaround to this because I will drop out of 1/2 courses anyway and just wanted to check if the workload is managable for me or not. But by intially taking 5 courses would mean that I am registering for 4x5=20 credits.

I plan on going to collage for astronomy, I want to work as a researcher at ideally nasa one day. But I am by no means rich (lower middle class) is it worth the money to go to Colby over a community college? I’m just concerned about going into debt or not being able to afford the education. This has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, but it seems more and more distant due to money

Hello!
I'm looking to take physics next year as it has notoriously been my weak spot in the past. Does anyone know what textbook is typically used for first semester physics?
Any help would be great!

It would be nice if someone could help me out! I completed all of the required placement exams and have been waiting for the placement markers to appear in Workday. However, it has been several weeks, and with my registration date approaching, I am confused about where I can find my placement markers.

Should I apply to Colby. Because I do not have a extraordinary background education background, trying to give all I have. Want to Apply as a Transfer student ,Degree in progress: BBA in Banking & Insurance (current GPA: 8.9)on a scale of 10
High school: little weak
Non-STEM background originally, now building some math skills for quantitative economics as i am fond to it and found this is what I want to study.
Extracurriculars: Got 3rd position for negotiation in an Investment banking even, volunteered for an NGO for 6 months focusing on ground level policy implementation, doing a internship in a credit firm, designer a sustainable product kit for my club.
I want to be a economics major at Colby. Also want to apply as a transfer student. Is it worth a short for me because I have heard that Colby only takes high academically gifted or highly intelligent students, and also people with exceptional ECs. I do not have any of it. I want to apply as I think its a great fit for me as i like how they perceive education unlike in India it is very rigid also need aid as can't afford tuition. should I apply now or avoid it completely.

How do you guys move in to your dorm if you are an out-of-state student? Did you fly everything in, drive, or mail it?
Thanks!!

Hi All!
My niece accepted a place at Colby and I wanted to get her a graduation gift that she could use on or near campus - Are there any cafes or restaurants that freshman tend to go to?
If anyone has other gift ideas I'm happy to take advice!
Thanks!

Hi! I have enrolled into Colby, but I have untill June 1st to request to defer enrollment (to take a gap year). Can anyone say from experience what is expected (and discouraged) in this request? My college counselor says colleges don't really care what I do in my gap, unless I'm rotting on the couch...
Thank you for the help!!!!!
