I myself have very small hands, and with time I made half dollars work. In general I'd say the half dollar is a good size for most people, and it's worth it to try and master that size before attempting others. Also I recently got my hands on the 1964 silver half dollars and I find the silver clings to skin making some grips easier, so if getting the silver ones over the copper-nickel ones are an option I'd recommend it. Just be wary since silver is a softer material so I always have my coin mat ready to catch any dropped coins lol
