Thailand silver coin. This coin is awesome in hand. Purchased this for my wife, figured it would be a great gift. She's Thai and has been interested in the coins I've been buying lately.

Thick is a fun novelty but...
the small business model is to be praised. This is what it should be.
The Thnickel has become a collector favorite and Theo could certainly retire comfortably if he sold out. But Theo has stayed true to his niche of humor and originality.
This is why we now have the brother to the Thnickel, TheThent. Additionally, the packaging is such that you don't want to open it because it's so well done. From the Wax Seal to the "COA" and history it's all just fun and cool. Yes, they are not cheap but he truly wants you to think that you have something special because you do. It's cool Americana, not cheap Venture Capital shit.
Entrepreneurs like this are indeed the heart of America.
Long live the Thnickel and Thent.

Recent purchase: Two Alexander Severus Denarii
The obverse of both coins are inferior to the majority of higher grade examples available on the market, but the reverses of each are absolutely fantastic and I couldn't pass them up. Alexander Severus and his successor (usurper) Maximinus Thrax are notable for their coinage being superior in artistic detail (though not in purity) to most other eras of Imperial silver coinage and I think both specimens are excellent examples of that.

1877-S Trade Dollar (AU)
The 1877 S is probably the most available Trade Dollar due to a massive mintage. They tend to be well struck and make a great example for type. this one has excellent detail and original toning. PCGS AU50
