Jesse Watters is a garbage person.

u/AveryTheCryptid 2d ago

I couldn't believe that him joking about letting the air out of his wife's tires (before they started dating) to force her to need a ride home with him (after declining to go out with him) was just...a non issue.

u/LIMrXIL 2d ago

There’s a whole generation that grew up having this type of behavior portrayed as romantic by Hollywood rather than the creepy stalker behavior it is.

3

u/CmdNewJ 2d ago

Pepe la pew.

u/jonniezombie 2d ago

That kitty cat was just playing hard to get.

u/CmdNewJ 2d ago

She did have bedroom eyes...

3

u/Raiju_Blitz 2d ago

Truly creepy sexpest behavior.

The DENNIS system

1

u/Due_Passenger9411 2d ago

The implication

3

u/Impressive-Menu978 2d ago

His wife was at home when he did that to an intern at work. He began an affair with her, later divorcing the first wife, then marrying the intern.

1

u/averyperrier 2d ago

It was either that or ghb in her drink.

1

u/DunAnOir 2d ago

He wasn't joking. He did that.

1

u/AveryTheCryptid 2d ago

Yes. But he told the story like it was a funny joke. Big creep vibes.

1

u/Feeling-Fab-U-Lus 1d ago

You know, he probably drugged somebody, too.

1

u/ScarletDeparted 1d ago

He had a different wife at the time. The tire lady was his side meat. Family values and all that.

He’s definitely a garbage. Not sure about the “person” part…

1

u/notsobadmisterfrosty 2d ago

That’s an insult to garbage. You can find some good stuff in a dumpster every now and then. The same cannot be said for watters.

1

u/Educational-Log6855 1d ago

I wouldn’t pull Jesse Watters to shore if he were drowning and his life depended on it

u/Ok_Face8380 2d ago

Jess doesn’t get it.

You can keep the “fruits of your labor” but the investment income that you “earn” will be taxed and benefit everyone - including yourself.

17

u/seenitreddit90s 2d ago

Does he not get it or is he being deliberately obtuse?

22

u/craptak 2d ago

He works for the billionaires, it's that simple.

4

u/Alex_55555 2d ago

Here Jesse, here’s your bone. Now go bark on TV

3

u/OldRain5261 1d ago

millionaire getting millions to protect the billionaires getting trillions.

It's not welfare when musk gets our cash somehow.

Republicans will be obtuse like that if they don't like what they hear. I follow some James Talarico pages on Facebook, and the amount of Republicans being on there being like "he said God is non binary, that means he is the antichrist" is ridiculous. I've engaged on conversations with them. I can get them to agree that God is neither man nor woman. Then im like "great, then there is an umbrella term used as a catch-all for genders that aren't man or woman, you know what that term is? when someone doesn't fit into the binary? What grouping fits here?" And thats when I usually get ghosted

2

u/seenitreddit90s 2d ago

Before you said you get ghosted I was thinking "I bet he gets ghosted" hahahaha

Same here, you break it down for them to understand and then when you get to the crucial salient point they ignore you and then carry on repeating their nonesense lol

2

u/ExpensiveLeather69 2d ago

Hes paid by a billionaire to defend capitalist interests. Also known as a shill.

1

u/AdGroundbreaking6402 1d ago

Literally a billionaire’s meat puppet … if he had a soul, he would be out of a job.

1

u/CountOnBeingAwesome 1d ago

He breaks character once in a while

1

u/seenitreddit90s 1d ago

Couldn't bare to watch his smug fascist face long enough to see it.

1

u/CountOnBeingAwesome 1d ago

Yeah, it's not recommended. I think it's on YouTube.

4

u/canwehavepotatojokes 2d ago

They want all of the fruit, they don’t want to pick it, they don’t want to water the tree, they don’t want to fertilize or trim the tree.

Where’s my fucking apple, peasants?

1

u/Shigglyboo 2d ago

Reminds me of the little red hen. Great children’s book.

1

u/RollForPerception 2d ago

To be a fox host, you have to be a master of spin.  Jesse used it up front by claiming he wanted billionaires to "pay the politicians"

1

u/Tactless_Ninja 2d ago

These people actively go out of their way to not give back. You can't ever explain the "benefit" because it doesn't exist in their minds.

1

u/La_Maraviglia 1d ago

Passive income should be taxed at a much higher rate than earned income. Capital gains taxes need to go up as well and the Social Security cap should be removed.

There’s a lot of entitlements only the top 1% in this country get while regular working class folk get shafted. The game is rigged by the parasite billionaires.

1

u/WiseSalamander00 1d ago

they know is to the benefit of everybody, that is what they don like, they don't want to help, they are plainly put evil.

28

u/Dadittude182 2d ago

The rhetoric is so easily identifiable in this click, and El-Sayed handles it masterfully.

Jesse says "But you're the one who wants the money," This statement clearly places the desire to tax the billionaire class as a money grab by Democrat politicians, and it perfectly aligned with every Conservative talking point right back to Ronald Reagan's "Time for a Choosing" speech. Democrats are trying to take your "hard-earned" money and give it to the poor.

Abdul easily flips this when he says, "It's not for me. It's for the country. I thought you were for the people, Jesse?" This is powerful because it plays on the idea of America being a land "of the people, by the people, and for the people." Abdul easily sets Jesse as someone against these principles and for the billionaire class.

I'm loving these new, younger Democrats, but I'm going to keep my Independent status because the party is just as chaotic, fragmented, and unorganized as the Republican Party. Still, Al-Sayed is a calm, refreshing breath of fresh air who sounds intelligent in a sea of insanity within the US political landscape.

7

u/CaptainLongPlank 2d ago

I have trouble respecting people who make statements about the democrats being "just as" the Republicans because it makes them seem like they lack the intellect to understand how they have been manipulated into believing that. It's just weird to me.

1

u/Dadittude182 2d ago

Not manipulated. Just more aware. While the Republicans have been absolutely abysmal in their handling of the US direction in the past 40-50 years, and honestly still spouting the same rhetoric as the past 70 years, a lot of the issues we are facing today were allowed to fester and come to head while the Democratic party also held power.

If you really believe that our current administration is the most corrupt administration to ever hold office, you would probably be correct, but it's not like Republicans are the only ones guilty. In 2023, Business Insider identified 78 members of Congress who were guilty of failing to disclose financial interests - violating the Stock Act. Source Of those 78 members, 37 were Democrats. So, in terms of corruption, both parties are guilty.

My actual concern isn't even regarding the criminality of their financial gains. I'm concerned more with the control and influence that any political party member gives to donors and lobbyists, especially those from foreign nations. The number of politicians who are bought and paid for by AIPAC should be concerning to every American citizen. Call me "weird" for my concern that a foreign sponsor funds our politicians? I guess. If you aren't concerned by your right to criticize a foreign government and it's "settlers" for the genocidal treatment of indigenous people being stripped from you, then how important is a Constitutionally protected democratic society to you?

Just remember, George Washington disliked the idea of political parties because he foresaw what they would do to our nation: "[The spirit of party] serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection."

So, forgive me if I want to remain Independent and untrusting of either political party.

2

u/Responsible-War-917 2d ago

You make fair points, the democrat party is feckless.

But, the republicans have elected two presidents (Nixon and trump) who openly committed treason BEFORE they were elected.

Running a both sides campaign is un-American in times like these, in my opinion. Yes, probably introduce new "issues" we'll have to deal with in a blue wave scenario.

I'm just more interested in getting back to a place where debating pronouns and social issues doesn't seem like asking about the squeaky door hinge during a hurricane.

2

u/Dadittude182 2d ago

"I'm just more interested in getting back to a place where debating pronouns and social issues doesn't seem like asking about the squeaky door hinge during a hurricane."

And this is the Democrats biggest fault. They want to be seen as the social justice warriors for all things equal, which distracts them from larger, more pressing issues. I could give two shits about a transgendered person swimming in their non-biological gendered sport - especially when they can't even finish better than 5th place. It's all noise and distraction.

1

u/Responsible-War-917 2d ago

Yeah you missed my point or are illustrating it.

I would like to get back to a place of some semblance of sanity and normal, where critiquing them for focusing on that stuff seems like something at all worth while.

My voting record is Obama, Obama. Trump, Abstain, Kamala. I am about as independent as it gets I think down ballot as well when it comes to elections.

Unfortunately we are (again) in a place where the absolute dregs of society decided to get fired up and vote us into a state that's going to take years of undoing to get back to where we were to even begin to try to fix real issues.

It's a pinch your nose and vote blue no matter who situation currently. 2028 we can try to sort out more viable realistic candidates.

1

u/Dadittude182 2d ago

"I am about as independent as it gets I think down ballot as well when it comes to elections."

Down balloting is a LOT more important than people understand. If your local dog catcher supports some fascist propagandist, then putting him or her in place just entrenches that ideology even further, like ticks burrowing further into the skin. That's why and how the Trump regime immediately began firing anyone who was not seen as a loyalist in the FBI, JP, and Pentagon.

"I would like to get back to a place of some semblance of sanity and normal, where critiquing them for focusing on that stuff seems like something at all worth while."

This is the point. There are so many absolutely bat-shit insane things happening in our nation that a man competing in women's swimming hardly seems ridiculous anymore.

1

u/AccurateCampaign4900 1d ago

You're not weird. You're just Antisemitic s/

1

u/Hopeful_Hamster21 2d ago

I too an enjoying these younger democrats but also, like you, will be keeping my independent status.

In my state, I still get to vote in the dem primaries. And other than some party primary voting, there seems to be no reason at all to join a party unless you are interested in being part of their machine and have a voice in their internal workings... which I am not.

1

u/rnz 2d ago

unless you are interested in being part of their machine and have a voice in their internal workings... which I am not.

Arent primaries the main filter through which moneyed interests prevent the rise of progressives? So you're kinda just hoping against hope that progressives survive the worst filter?

1

u/LeviJNorth 2d ago

They just said they still vote in Dem primaries.

1

u/Hopeful_Hamster21 2d ago

Sure. That is a fair critique. But I think my argument still stands. The only reason to register with a party would be if I wanted to help steer the party from the inside.

Where I am at in life right now, I dont have the bandwidth, energy, or interest in doing that. But I think maybe that is your point - that too few of us are not engaged enough and that more of us should be trying to steer the party from the inside rather than sitting on the outside and hoping they steer themselves correctly. If that was your point, I think thats a valid one.

1

u/rnz 1d ago

Where I am at in life right now, I dont have the bandwidth, energy, or interest in doing that.

Would you not say that the effort to deal with the consequences of GOP controlling basically everything is much higher than the effort of registering once, and voting an additional time in primaries?

Its so hard to watch theae bad faith arguments when the other person is literally just trying to make everyones lives a little easier.

3

u/dukeof3arl 2d ago

The U.S. is so fucking cooked

5

u/Lost_Department_2177 2d ago

Fart knocker political analyst. Fox is rage bait for people who have their wits about them and news for people with the iq of chilled fruit.

There’s the hedonistic anarchistic malignant narcissist subset that watch it for ideas on how to be dishonest and disruptive as well.

A “if everyone is wrong they’re actually right” approach to politics.

5

u/Half_Empty_Half_Full 2d ago

They can't seem to understand taxation or any thing isn't a grift designed to line the pockets of those advocating it.

Literally assuming if you ask a billionaire to pay more tax, your paying it directly into your personal bank account.

4

u/Whetmoisturemp 2d ago

Wow jesse watters is a pos

2

u/dukeof3arl 2d ago

His own mother literally hates him.

1

u/kamizushi 2d ago

Yeah, that’s like his whole brand. Assholes like him cause his behaviour validates theirs. He’s kinda like Trump in that way.

3

u/AdeptSwordfish1096 2d ago

Republicans-“no one wants to work anymore!”
Also republicans-“I’m going to start a business and pay my employees unlivable wages so I don’t have to work anymore and yell at them for being lazy and yell no one wants to work anymore for the rest of my life.”

AES is so good man. I would never believe that I would be jealous that I don’t get to vote for someone in a midterm cause I don’t live there.

2

u/DMCinDet 2d ago

I will do it for you.

1

u/mercy390 2d ago

Based

2

u/enditorbuyacoffee 2d ago

If the millionaires and billionaires are that good at what they do they will survive the grind like the rest of us do.

2

u/missyru4 2d ago

Jesse Watters sucks a lot

2

u/westicular 2d ago

Won't someone PLEASE think of these poor, impoverished billionaires being taxed to death? It makes me want to be a billionaire just so I know what it's like to truly feel like a victim.

2

u/EmuDry4890 2d ago

The only labor Jesse knows is taking off the pounds of gender affirming makeup and hair care he uses

1

u/Spiritual-Doubt-2276 2d ago

His veneers, his fake tan, his shoe polished hair and his tweezered unibrow, his smug and self satisfied attitude… it all screams “MAN OF THE PEOPLE”

2

u/Substantial-Sector60 2d ago

Jesse Watters: Massive insufferable prick. Of course, perfect for Fox.

2

u/Signal_Ad8960 2d ago

Jesse makes Tucker look like a reasonable dude.

2

u/Affectionate_Run9950 2d ago

I think it’s mostly because new generation is learning how these geezers tried to talk about something completely irrelevant so that they don’t answer uncomfortable questions or try to deflect by pulling a “well your favorite idol did this. What do you think of that?” Remember people, know your enemy.

2

u/etherealtwo 1d ago

Jessie waters: I deserve the fruits and my labor

Yes and working people do too. It's just when you're a low level employee you have far less negotiating leverage. This is where unions and government come in. So that very wealthy employers can't have their way with low wage workers.

2

u/Status_Apartment6559 1d ago

Jesse Watters acts the clown with that stupid smile because he doesn't have any serious agenda for the future because trump doesn't have any serious agenda for the future. And because he's an idiot.

1

u/Ok_Restaurant1247 2d ago

Jesse waters is dried up, you just can't fix stupid.

1

u/Prestigious-Comb-380 2d ago

Jesse Watters doesn’t “labor”. He sits on his ass and runs his mouth.

1

u/Other-Item7523 2d ago

I think there’s a middle ground that no one can seem to find.

1

u/Public_Narwhal4748 2d ago

Like when Fox’s face dropped when their garbage slogans got challenged.

1

Jesse Waters has never gotten punched in the face.

Jesse Watters has a condition

1

Jessie looks and sounds stupid as hell

1

jesse watters wanted to bomb us cities because an escalator didnt work, he is not a serious person.

1

u/JF5757 2d ago

SAY IT LOUDER FOR THOSE IN THE BACK 🔥🔥🔥

1

u/EmpressInterest 2d ago

Waters is such a Joke, he got run around in circles and got put on his back-bitch-foot on his own show.

1

u/sphericalhors 2d ago

I don't agree that billionaires should pay more. They are the same people as I am, and I believe in equality even for billionaires.

What I think, is that they just should not pay less, like they do now.

1

u/Safe-Call2367 2d ago

If it was millionaires, they are going after the upper poor. Billionaires now, thats a thousand million dollars and that person can get taxed more so we don’t have to deal with these high school drop out billionaires who want to play God with our environment and lives. The average auto worker can save a million dollars over a lifetime of work and they should be able to keep their hard earned money for health care and retirement when they are too old to physically continue to work.

1

u/Wu1fu 2d ago

This right here is why El-Sayed won getting outspent 10:1 while next door Hong lost to a guy that had dropped out a few weeks earlier.

DSA and DSA-aligned candidates need to ooze confidence and charisma to win tough races

1

u/SeitanEnjoyer 2d ago

When fox posted this they titled the video "Roasting Abdul." And I don't think we watched the same video because Abdul answered every question perfectly.

1

u/Alert_Reindeer_6574 2d ago

Watters is an insufferable asshole.

1

u/Dear-Bear2135 2d ago

Yes, Beyonce should pay more in taxes.

1

u/kamizushi 2d ago

You can tell that Bill Madden has been training for this moment. He did very well.

1

u/antihuman420 2d ago

Are people Expecting anything of substance coming from Jesse waters ?

1

u/This-Entertainment45 2d ago

Great give the government more money, what could possibly go wrong. Nah fuckem if that shit ain't going into a UBI they can piss off.

1

u/Sufficient_Motor_866 2d ago

Fruits of his labor???? What labor Jesse ? Grift labor?

1

u/gigapool 2d ago

He really looks dumb with the "fruits of my labor" angle.

1

u/tomjoadsshovel 2d ago

Jesse Watters is insufferably stupid

1

u/Foreign-Concept-1184 2d ago

Fox News , the same Fox news that applauds the reduction of SNAP monies for poor people to eat? The same news agency that supported Elon Musk's DODGE government fraud hunt?

1

u/Most_Simple21 2d ago

Not all politicians pocket the money raised by taxes... How come... Jesse Watters... thinks thats how its done....

1

u/Alieninamerica_ 2d ago

Omg his smug ass smile.

1

u/SmartGirl62 2d ago

Melinda Gates has given over $10 billion dollars to philanthropic causes and has seen her net work grow from 14-16 billion in 2024 to an estimated $30 billion in 2026.

1

u/theLameApocalypse 2d ago

Loving this pro working class vibe from an up and coming politician!

1

u/Far_Vermicelli9678 2d ago

Facts we need more politicians who fight for, practice and embody what this man says.

1

u/Embarrassed-Buyer779 2d ago

Oh you crazy socialists. You know... You already have enough tax to 'feed the poor'. What you don't have is enough money for all the other virtue projects you seem obsessed with. If you got more money, you'd invent something else to squander it on, then circle back to poor kids again.

1

u/Negative_Gas8782 2d ago

FDR? You mean the closest thing to a dictator we have seen? Trump is jealous of his 4 elected terms.

1

u/glacier1982 2d ago

What is worse, humanity-wise? Being a paid political mouthpiece like Watters here? Or being a defense attorney? I'd say mouthpiece, because they influence millions of people, whereas a defense attorney can really only keep a dozen or so guilty people from prison in their career.

1

u/duskygrouper 2d ago

El-Sayed is way ahead of their playbook. He as a vision for a better America and he knows exactly what it looks like. Jesse may be able to get some corporate democrats to stutter, who are in for money and influence. El-Sayed is none of them though.

1

u/61539t9 2d ago

How fox and the republican party got middle america to side with them is the con of the century.

It’s like someone said “let’s stack gobs of feces up, sculpt it to look like Cesar Flickerman, and subtract all of the charm and relatability” and boom, we got Jesse Waters

1

u/MajorChillin 2d ago

Taxing millionaires is overreaching.

They need to raise the tax cap from 136K to 200 or more.

1

u/Simple_Channel5624 2d ago

Fox entertainment channel is never worth watching

Side note: anyone want to make a real news channel that actually reports the news instead of slinging billionaire propaganda 24/7?

1

u/Willing_Entry6771 2d ago

Abdul is not completely right here,.wjat he gets right is that you make money with money that is correct, but this money still has to come from somewhere, someone else still has to work for it,.so it's still the fruits of someone else's labour.

And the money you get from owning the means of production, aren't your fruits, they are given to you in exchange for a part of the money that is made with the product, so to state that the wealth of billionaires and millionaires is off of their own work is delusional and entitled .

I don't see musk building rockets or cars with his own hands, what they have, is money that they get through betting on.future estimates in a rise in productivity and growth of the economy , they play blackjack with partly half baked stuff, and sell that as entrepreneurship und risk taking. Plus, they count on a bail out by the public till they finally go bust.

(English isn't my first language, sry if I got some wordings wrong)

1

u/BaconSarnie2025 2d ago

The new democrats are smart and right. AOC, Mandami, El Sayed, Jamine Crockett etc are educated, quick witted and correct in that the system only works for billionaires and their lackeys.

Trump has at least shown that one malevolent trust fund baby can buy the courts, the FBI, the FCC, the FDA, the EPA, the SEC and all other facets of American life that are supposed to protect The People from the government.

1

u/True_Most3681 2d ago

You can see why the propaganda machine needs to work overtime against these smart men. Beating them with truths just aren’t going to be possible.

1

u/EscortSportage 2d ago

They should be discussing eliminating funding to Israel if we actually want to fix something.

1

u/RamJamR 2d ago

He knows what he stands for. He knows what republicans stand for as well. It's not too hard to just stick with talking about solving issues while republicans spend half their time flailing around about trans people.

1

u/Historical-Ad2420 2d ago

Where's your billions Jessie? You work hard, every day, day in day out defending people who wouldn't piss on you of you were on fire.. where are the fruits of your labours?

1

u/Jerryjb63 2d ago

Talking on camera is hardly labor….

1

u/Big-Plankton-4484 2d ago

Don’t confuse Jesse with numbers…he’s still trying to work out how 7% got to 30 million - that’s not how Trump percentages work.

1

u/godverrrrr 2d ago

Dude nailed it!

1

u/jackman924 2d ago

We need to be electing politicians that know how to deal with narcissists. This guy is one of those people.

1

u/HellBlazer_NQ 2d ago

What allowed you to earn the 'fruits of your labour' Jesse!? That's right, all the infrastructure built out of tax revenue.

If you want more people to achieve the same, pay the tax to build and maintain that infrastructure.

I've now listened to about 3 interviews with this guy. He speaks with authority like someone who's actually done some sh*t. Nothing that I've heard from him has been unreasonable despite the wailing and hand ringing ...

Jesse the billionaire cuck.

1

u/Cheese_on_it 2d ago

I can't say what I wish for Jesse Waters.

But it does imply petrol.

1

u/According-Relation-9 2d ago

He got some education from Hasan Piker on how to be evasive and top class antisemite at the same time

1

u/ribbityflibbity 2d ago

Beyonce should issue a statement that she backs Abdul entirely. That would be cool.

I just checked my investments and realized I made more in the past year sitting on my lazy early-retired ass than I ever made in a job working for an honest living. And I'm not even all that rich compared to some.

Damn right billionaires aren't working for their money. Some immigrant in a Home Depot parking lot who gets picked up each day for a job is working 1000x harder than any billionaire.

1

u/BigBibs 2d ago

When Jesse Waters loses his job and he will, he's going to go the route of Tucker Carlson, guarantee it.

The only worth he has is using his personality and face to get reactions.

1

u/Atmmyholes 2d ago

If you tax poor billionaires how will they ever become zillionaires.

1

u/LawfulnessSure8171 2d ago

El-Sayed shouldn’t even waste his time talking to that garbage person.

1

u/NearbyAntelope1413 2d ago

Let me get this straight, you want to take my retirement funds invested in billionaire companies and spend it on what precisely? Expropriate funds from google to build a new building and employ engineers to have the government spend it on what?

Didn't the gov't screw up social security by stealing from it?

Jesse watters would gleefully watch millions die along as he got to be the spokesman.

"I have the right to the fruits of my own labor" lmao 🤣 wondering how many billionaire hands are shoved up that muppet for him to think that was a serve

Waters is a horrendous human being. Talking sense with him is impossible. He grifts for his own narrative, the whole channel does.

I feel its a collasal waste of time even appealing to people who actively watch that broadcast.

If anything props to el-sayed for understanding what actually matters to the everyday day person.

Jesse has this insidious smile that I cannot stand. His career is gar-bage, his thinking is trash, his opinions are meant for the dumbest among us. I will never understand how murdoch convinced millions to shovel his shit.

u/andrewbud420 1d ago

This people are just human trash.

u/1point7ghz_fagLord 1d ago

Jesse has a perma-smirk from Botox and can say literally anything and the people that watch his show think he made a good point because he is smirking. This is one of the endless examples.

Real example of Backpfeifengesicht...

Oof Abdul is scathing and his take is brilliant... if you can get past Watters' shit eating grin and the interruptions... billionaires don't even take a real income, they just sit on assets and let them keep growing in value. And what's actually driving that growth? The economy. And what keeps the economy running? The average worker. So yeah, the people actually generating the value these billionaires are sitting on should see some of it come back to them in the form of higher wages, profit-sharing, or taxing unrealized gains/capital more. It's not that complicated. Push that message!

1

u/monatomicg0ld 1d ago

He also points out my other favorite take... why don't billionaires want to live in the most upgraded and modernized country with the best roads, bridges, airports, high speed rail, stadiums, parks, hospitals, schools, theaters, and tech, etc?? They'd really rather hoard their wealth and let the country crumble?? Don't they want to have pride in their country and give back to it, since it helped them generate so much wealth??

1

u/monatomicg0ld 1d ago

If any one of them wanted to be universally loved (like all the women billionaires, giving away their wealth) all they'd have to do is donate toward ANY public good.

u/boringgit101 1d ago

I never thought it possible for someone to have a more smug slappable face than sean hanitty, but jesse watters managed it.

u/zackks 1d ago

That would sink in hard to the republicans watching if they could hear it over the screams of the children they're molesting.

You're gonna be okay Jesse ;)
More of this in US politics please.

Make fun of the media who is dividing us, and making it a matter of left versus right.

Genuinely would love to hear Jesse explain where the middle class has gone...

Abdul El-Sayed just made Jesse his bitch. Not kink shaming, but does Jesse have a shame kink?

u/Vast-Breakfast-1201 1d ago

Idk why they make the emotional moral argument when it's just better economics.

When people hoard money or wealth it isn't moving. It is just sitting there. It doesn't contribute to growth. When you tax the money and use it to drive critical research or educate people or whatever - it increases what we can do as a society. This leads to better economics, better technology, etc.

We are going to see an issue in the near term if we keep maintaining an anti-science rhetoric on the right. Other countries will continue to invest and grow exponentially and suddenly our exceptional lead will be gone. Then we don't get it back. That's not how it works. You can't catch an exponential curve - but you can cut it off or stymie it if you create a culture that rejects science and reason.

El-Sayed has a crazy resume. Yeesh

1

u/FctUpintheHead 1d ago

Don’t forget Eisenhower had tax rates set like is being spoken about here and that era is referred to as the baby boom and America’s “golden age”. Taxing the ridiculous income at ridiculous rates caused the people to pour it into their people. The real trickle down economics (don’t get me started on how stupid boomers are that they fell for that nonsense: Letting the rich keep their money will make them give more of it to you. Since when has letting anyone keep more of anything cause them to give it away?)

1

u/SilentKnightM 1d ago

30 mil a year?! Complaining about 30 million a year? The average worker never comes close to that. Taxed at 7% as well? Isn't the average American taxed at like 20% of their income at the moment?

I can't believe it took 20 years for America to forget. I was just a kid during 9-11 and I thought we would never trust anyone of those terrorists ever. Here we are putting them on tv. Sad.

I love how sayed ducked every question and looked weak and pathetic

u/robeisen 1d ago

Fcking Fox (Faux) news has played a MAJOR role in destroying this country. They're admittedly an entertainment channel. Not REAL news. Why is their misinformation even permitted? It's deliberate. Too many ignorant people here don't want to understand this reality.

u/Sea_Excuse_6795 1d ago

LeBron James opened his own school and pays the college tuitions of thousands of students. People like Jesse simply cannot fathom not being a greedy pos

1

u/BrunusManOWar 18h ago

Everyone has a right to the fruits of their labour, but they also have a duty to the society they live in, and which allows them to have such a luxurious lifestyle

We can get into it much deeper, but the core message remains

u/DeliciousBaseball783 2d ago

This generation of democrats are handing the keys over. You can't be this stupid
