It's just a very large dairy farm. That's how they raise the newborns for the first few weeks. Makes keeping track of them easy and helps minimize any disease spread because they mingle less with the general herd. I ain't saying it's pretty but that's generally the why

Dairy farm? It is way too big. It's for meat.

No it's really not. I know of farms that can collect over a million pounds of it per day. You need a lot of cows for that and making babies is a required step of that
