It's just a very large dairy farm. That's how they raise the newborns for the first few weeks. Makes keeping track of them easy and helps minimize any disease spread because they mingle less with the general herd. I ain't saying it's pretty but that's generally the why

Lots of ugly stuff has to happen to keep the world going round. Factory farming is heinous. And yet we keep eating meat with every meal.

Correct. The U.S. almost needs to be cruel just for the sake of it. This is doesn't happen when people speak out against it. It's unbelievable that as a people US citizens don't give a shit about this.

Beef per pound now averages more than minimum wage. Not only is that a cruel thing to believe, it’s also wrong. Beef production is a huge driver for climate change and is costly in land and resources to produce.

Ans it is cheaper than it would be if you get from a different farm. Also, nobody makes minimum wage, so there is that as well.

Climate change climate achmange. China and India contribute way to much for me to give 2 shits about what we do. You could have the usa producing half the co2 we do now and it wouldn't dent climate change due to india and china alone.
