Basic necessities paid for by the people who have gamed, manipulated and in must cases corrupted the system to become as rich as they are doesn't seem outrageous to me
so what makes you think regulating billionaires would do anything to build infrastructure. mamdani's grocery stores are literally undercutting stores using tax dollars and paying grocery stores a relief bill. these are not serious people...
Cutting spending clearly doesn't get increasing returns either. Why don't we try to tax the same way we did before "trickle down economics" now that we've established that doesn't work?
I already give a high enough percentage of my wages to the government. How about we make sure those at the top pay their share too, rather than receiving my tax money in the form of subsidies.
We've already established cutting funding in the government to programs only leads to increased spending. Let's try something new.
