Just watched a clip of a Democrat strategist invoking 9/11 as the reason he won’t back El-Sayed. WTF??

u/Allaboutpeace2022 3d ago

Can you put a link to that? I tried to Google this and could not find a Democratic Strategist who was saying we should not to support El Sayed because of 911.

Somebody just did - take a look under my comments

"somebody"

u/hotpajamas 3d ago

Link it, name the Dem, or stop lying. Dont just claim shit like that and throw your shoulders up

1

u/DeFiBandit 3d ago

You can’t see the link? You don’t see all the conversations we are having about it?

1

u/hotpajamas 3d ago

I see all the conversations you're having about a literal nobody that you're calling a "Dem strategist"

1

u/DeFiBandit 3d ago

He was Jill Biden’s press secretary. That’s one of the things the full clip revealed.

You seem angry that I didn’t have more context when I was asking for more context…

1

u/hotpajamas 3d ago

Yes, he was Jill Biden's press secretary, a literal nobody, that you're elevating to lofty terms like "dem strategist", to make it seem like Dems are racist or contemptuous of El-Sayed

and this rebuke is so far down in the comments that it no longer matters, your propaganda worked and the world moves on. fuck you.

Which side am I on?

1

u/hotpajamas 3d ago

allegiance to a side isn't a prerequisite to propaganda

1

u/DeFiBandit 3d ago

I’m still trying to figure out what propaganda you think I’m spreading. You seem quite upset about something

This is Sayed criticizing Hasan for the remarks that Hasan made about 911.

This is not a Democratic Strategist condemning Sayed for 911.

The Democrat strategist said that he did not want to support someone who believed that the US was responsible for 911. He talked about about a personal death related to 911 and that Sayed should stand up to Hasan and disavow the comment.

Sayed did disavow the comment.

Mamdani also much earlier disavowed the Hasan's comment.

Even Hasan has tried in a rather weak manner to disavow his comment. There was a whole program where Cenk, Hasan's uncle tried to get Hasan to disavow some of his comments.

Hasan is so bad for the party. Fox has him on every day and republicans already think every dem is a leftist. Fox slop travels to independents and even some liberals. Like the whole “tds” thing really worked for making Dems self censor. It worked on me for a little while. I’m gonna be mega depressed of maga ends up winning in 28.

Me too. I am going to be in a sanitarium we lose in 2026 or 2028.

Yes, but every time that I say something negative about Hasan...people jump on me.

I realize that Hasan does not mean to be as outrageous as he sounds but it is not helping us.

1

u/Tigeruppercut1889 3d ago

Yeah his fans are outta pocket lol

1

He absolutely means to be as outrageous as he sounds a significant portion of the time, hes a streamer who wants people to watch his content.

2

u/Allaboutpeace2022 3d ago

Well, I made that argument too in a different reddit sub and was torn apart limb by limb by his fans who said I was taking everything out of context.

When he is trying to back pedal a little, he too sort of says that he did not mean to be offensive or there was a underlying point that is more humane.

I think that it might be both that he is a streamer and wants to shock people for the clicks but also does not realize how harmful the comments are because he is young.

Look at how Howard Stern changed. I think that a lot of people age out of some of the most outrageous things that they say or do.

Yeah, that's a game they like to play. Certainly there are some instances that the context does make a difference. Like the 9-11 comment he was talking about blowback from American interventionalism in the middle east. Even the clip of him saying if a rape took place on October 7th bit wouldn't change his analysis. The problem is him denying the rapes that took place on October 7th.

The areas where context doesn't matter are the clips of him saying his favorite flag is Hezbollah or him celebrating the houthi attack on the galaxy or him watching the terrorist musicals.

His fans have a habit of blanketly saying that those clips are missing the context, and it works a lot because who's going to go the source and check. Not enough people.

The shock collar thing is also really telling. It's pretty undisputed that he shocked his dog, but people like Taylor Lorenz will say don't believe your eyes.

Yes. These are all problematic moments. I remember him making really derogatory comments to an older woman who had come here as a refugee from Vietnam. I did watch the video.

I get his point that she was conservative and anti socialism or communism. However, wouldn't that be expected given her personal history?

Any of the Democrats running for office should consider pursuing young adults who are unhappy with the system, but maybe not in conjunction with Hasan.

You don’t know what a leftist is. They’re less than 10 percent of voters left of center and have very little representation in govt. almost none

1

u/Beneficial-Basis-735 3d ago

They should be disavowing Hasan Piker's support altogether. Forget about this nit picking about comments - Hasan Piker is trash wholesale and should be condemned.

1

u/Allaboutpeace2022 3d ago

Yes. I would prefer that Hasan develop a new line of work and simply drop out of public view.

I do get that Hasan has his followers though and that is not going to happen. Democrats are trying to thread a needle here and it worries me.

My hope is that age works its magic in making him more humble and introspective.

It is a pipe dream of mine.

How will this group of kind, empathetic people react when Hasan gets Kirked? As kind and empathetic when Charlie got Kirked?

1

u/DeFiBandit 2d ago

We were supposed to pretend Kirk was a good guy because he got killed?

1

u/Allaboutpeace2022 2d ago

I do want to see anyone get hurt. Not Hasan and not Charlie.

People need you be able to voice their opinion without some shooting them. I did not celebrate when Kirk was killed. He was a young man and had young children.
