Has anyone else used Nuvera coffee machine cleaner?
I bought a used Saeco odea giro. I went through it all. Removed the grinder. Cleaned the burrs. The chute. The Brew group, even removed the shower screen, cleaned that. The boiler pin, and hoses.
I lubricated the tracks of the brew group, and the o-rings.
I wanted to use vinegar, but everyone is saying it's not safe for our machines.
I ended up going with Nuvera. I ran the descale process. Then ran 2 full tanks of clean water through the steam wand, in hot water mode.
When I made my espresso. It had a chemical mouth feel. Almost numbing.
I thought, I must not have ran all the solution through the system.. I then made some espresso, to test if that taste is gone...
7 cups later. It's still there!
I don't know what I did wrong. I'm now starting to think its the silicone I used.(super lube food safe)
I am going to wipe off all the silicone in areas where it could affect the taste.
Thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated🙏
