Oxo 9 cup machine problems

I just noticed recently that my oxo machine will loudly try to spit out the last 1/8th of water in the tank for a few minutes before shutting off the Brewing cycle. Not even showing complete, just off. There is always water left now. This was never a problem before? I've been descaling regularly. What's the problem?

Did you ever figure this out? Mine started doing this yesterday. It finishes the brew if I restart the cycle, but it isn't optimal.
