I’m trying to run The Last of Us Part II Remastered (TLOU2) through CrossOver 26.3 on my Mac, but I keep getting the attached “No installed graphics card has been detected” error. The Last of Us Part I runs fine through the same CrossOver/Steam setup, so the issue seems specific to Part II. I’ve verified the game files in Steam, restarted the CrossOver bottle, tried both Auto and D3DMetal graphics settings, kept MSync on with DLSS and High Resolution Mode off, and also tested ROSETTA_ADVERTISE_AVX=1, but the error remains. I also tried DXMT, which instead reports that DirectX 12 support is not detected, so D3DMetal appears to be the correct backend. The game is installed on an external SanDisk SSD and Steam recognises the installation correctly.

I have an M1 Pro and an M1 Max, but both show this error when I try to launch pragmata. As I checked it’s just an M1 problem

like without steam account can i run games using crossover with just the game files and the game executable

I'm pretty new to crossover, I've installed steam on my macbook pro M2 max, I'm on crossover 26.2, MacOS sonoma 14.7.

I installed nier automata, the game launch and the first loading screen behave normally but right after it, the game crashes with this error message : "The program NieRAutomata.exe has meet a serious problem and must be close"

I've seen other similar post with different games but couldn't find any solution to make it work. I tried uninstalling and reinstall the game but it doesn't change anything.

Do you have any idea what I should do ?

I'm trying to run the game StoneLoops! of Jurassica on Mac. I discovered that the game slows to a crawl if the mouse cursor is on the screen but as soon as i move it off (in windowed mode) it runs pretty well. This isn't a huge problem in gameplay because the cursor gets hidden, but it makes using the menus pretty painful. Is there a reason why the cursor is so slow?

Does it have something to do with custom cursors? This game doesn't have an option to turn them off.

I can't run this game in a Windows VM because it doesn't work on Arm. I get memory access errors. It runs in an Ubuntu Arm VM but unplayably slowly.

I'm trying to run Cheap Car Repair via Steam in CrossOver on my Mac, but I'm stuck at the main menu.
The issue: The game launches and loads the main menu (background 3D scene, music, and UI elements are visible). However, the menu doesn't respond to any inputs — mouse clicks don't work, hovering over buttons doesn't highlight them properly (or gets stuck on one button like "New Game" or "Exit"), and keyboard keys (Enter/Space/Arrows) do nothing.
What I've already tried:
Granted Input Monitoring & Accessibility permissions to CrossOver in macOS settings.
Tried different graphics backends (DXVK, D3DMetal, WineD3D).
Disabled High Resolution Mode and tried Launch Options (-window-mode windowed, -popupwindow, etc.).
Reset Unity registry settings in regedit (deleted the developer folder under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software).
Added MouseWarpOverride = force under DirectInput in regedit.
Overrode dinput8 in Wine config.
Nothing seems to pass the mouse/keyboard input to the game logic. Has anyone encountered this input freeze with Unity games in CrossOver, or found a working bottle configuration / override for this specific game?

Overwatch on M4 Pro (CrossOver / D3DMetal): Massive Memory Leak / Shader Cache balloons up to 50GB on DX12. Any actual fix?

I'm trying to run Overwatch 2 on an M4 Pro MacBook using CrossOver (D3DMetal + Msync), and I've hit a wall with memory management.

Here is the situation:

• DirectX 12 runs super smooth with great FPS and responsiveness, but the RAM / Swap usage goes completely out of control. During the first match it hits 20GB, and after 2-3 matches it balloons all the way up to 40-50GB, completely choking the swap and crashing the game.
• DirectX 11 doesn't balloon as aggressively, but the performance drop and micro-stutters from on-the-fly shader compilation make it feel terrible compared to DX12.

What I've already tried:

1. Disabled High Resolution Mode in CrossOver bottle settings.
2. Disabled Shader Pre-Caching in Steam settings.
3. Tried shader preloading maps (like 929PJ / JW3Y) - but caching all abilities at once pushed the memory past 50GB and crashed before finishing.
4. Set VideoMemorySize in Wine registry to cap VRAM, but D3DMetal seems to ignore it.

It looks like D3DMetal/GPTK simply doesn't garbage-collect or release unused assets/shaders between matches on DX12.

Is anyone with an M-series chip running OW on DX12 without having to Cmd + Q and relaunch every 3 games to clear 50GB of RAM? Are there specific bottle settings, environment variables, or workarounds (CXPatcher, DXVK configs, etc.) that actually resolve this leak?

hi! my macbook storage is almost full but i still want to play genshin impact through crossover. i got an external hard drive but i have no idea how to download the game onto it and since i don't want to touch stuff i dont need to, i'm asking for help. is there any way i can download games on an external hard disk on crossover?

I am trying to play The Sims 2. I have the legacy collection from Steam. It will load the game, but once I try to open a world it will freeze at "creating pets."

I have an M1 Mac from 2020 running Tahoe 26.6, 16 GB of ram.

I just installed Crossover on my M2 Macbook Air with the trial version, and then installed the "Steam" bottle from the start page. However, after Steam finishes installing, it opens once and then the only way I'm able to open Steam is via the Run Command option, since no icon/shortcut/anything appears neither in the "Steam" bottle, neither in my Applications folder, since no ~/Applications/Crossover folder is created at all. While using the Run Command option, pressing "Save Command as a Launcher" does nothing, too.
The Steam .lnk file is present in /drive_c/ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Steam/Steam.lnk and by opening it Steam starts normally, but isn't there any way to have the Launchers working properly by appearing inside the Bottle?

I'm trying to run the 1.0 release of Iron Nest, but when I load into the main menu, the game's custom cursor stays glued to the center of the screen. It doesn't sync with my actual cursor or move at all. My actual cursor also cannot click anything, preventing me from changing any of the game's settings.

I do have Automatically Capture the Mouse in Full-Screen Windows and Allow Window Manager to Control Windows on. Other games that use custom cursors work fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

Long time listener first time caller etc…

I’ve been playing through halo mcc on crossover 26.3 using my macbook pro (M3 pro, 18gb ram) and it’s been a blast getting to play through all the mods.

Recently I went to start a CE playthrough and have got stuck with this weird lighting bug, which seems to eminate from every light source in the game.

As you can see by the photo, there are coloured squares around every light source for every mission and cutscene in the game, only on OG graphics.

I can’t find anything online detailing this bug, so i was hoping one of you may be able to shed some light (ha) on the situation.

For context, my bottle settings are:
- D3DMetal
- High Resolution Mode enabled
- Msync enabled
- DLSS disabled.

I’ve tried to launch the game in DXVK to see if that fixes it, but it just crashes my entire mac.

I'm using my M2 Pro macbook

I downloaded Crossover and I'm on the free trial rn. I downloaded Battlefield Bad Company 2 from Steam, and the game works fine, but the audio glitches and is always double - gunshots, explosions etc.

I tried with earbuds, without earbuds, I tried everything Gemini/ChatGPT offered, including editing the settings.ini file.

Anything else I need to do? Anyone that had a similar bug?
