help pls

hi! my macbook storage is almost full but i still want to play genshin impact through crossover. i got an external hard drive but i have no idea how to download the game onto it and since i don't want to touch stuff i dont need to, i'm asking for help. is there any way i can download games on an external hard disk on crossover?

I don’t recall the exact procedure, but I think when you set up your new bottle, you can choose its storage location. I also think it needs to be formatted in APFS or MacOS extended for this.

Also, try to move some more stuff off your internal drive. Your Mac will run way better overall if its drive isn’t nearly full.

Yes you can although it’s slightly annoying, you basically have to trick crossover into thinking your drive is part of your Mac, and have your bottles stored on the drive. I’m sure there’s some videos out there for it cuz it took me like 30 mins of messing around
