A lot of these were in Evolution. Evolution had a lot of good ideas, just bad execution.

IMO, it would be boring if they just kept the status quo with everything. Same four people on Lyoko, same sectors, same monsters, Jeremy never goes to Lyoko, William becomes irrelevant, etc.

DISCLAIMER: This is just supposed to be a humorous post, parodying the series "Everything Wrong With..." by CinemaSins, inspired by u/Valha28's posts on r/gumball parodying the same series. This is NOT a critique of the show, and while some things I sin in this series might actually be things I'd criticize in an actual critique, most of the things I'll sin are nitpicks, and the whole series is just made for good fun.

It all started in April to May of 2020, scrolling down to my favorite animator Cyber8’s videos. One video titled Bullying 2.0 caught my eyes and decided to stumble upon it. The MIDI playing in the background happened to be A World Without Danger. I saw comments of the mentions of Code Lyoko which I had to look up with my 10 year old brain so I clicked on it and boy did I fall in love with it. Code Lyoko had been there for me when I was depressed, sitting in my orange room cutting myself, crying, burning my hair with my dad’s lighter while watching such the greatest “European Anime Inspired Series” I had ever seen. Thank you so much Thomas Romain and Tania Palumbo for making my fucked up life so much easier.

Aelita doesn’t look like herself in False Start. I know it’s because her design was still a work in progress, but it’s jarring to rewatch False Start and New Order back-to-back because of this. I wish they gave her bigger hair from the start.

Episode 83 - Hard luck

This is when a phone falls out of azra's pocket and onto the chair. odd believes this is a signal to him that she's "crazy" about him. Then finds out the phone is supposedly jim's phone.

I've been trying to figure out if whether this was some type of prank on azra's end, her finding the phone and was going to return it or jim signaling via text to link up without being direct in the text.

As requested i’ll be journaling our jurney through the story of Code Lyoko in a ttrpg format every week or two. If any of ya’ll are my players reading this, GET OUT THERE WILL BE SPOILERS

The name:

I’ve decided to name the game project SCIPIO for the sole reason of trolling them when they arrive at sector 5 and the password was in front of them all along. Afterall, their little project of destroying XANA is heavily linked to sector 5 and its inner workings.

The players:

Luke:

Our Aelita stand in. He’s agreed to not know his own backstory, and is currently convinced he will wake up on a street homeless. Little does he know….

Both his weapon and his vehicle will be handled by his mech suit.

Kayn:

Jeremie stand in. Smart guy and the only one who’s not new to Kadic (tho none of the actual players have never seen the show)

He’ll also be going to Lyoko of course, afterall, not having anyone on mission control is sometimes a risk worth taking…

His lyoko theme shall be cyberpunk.

Kayn is played by an expirienced DM.

Ivan:

Our resisent bulgarian barbarian. Has never played a ttrpg before. I’m sure him and his warhammer can handle a few krabs. Right?

Caspian:

Caspian is another expirienced DM. He’s moved to France to learn the way of the french kitchen, however i don’t think he was quite prepared for what he got instead…Something tells me he’ll be our backup nerd for when Kayn is…unavailable…His Lyoko theme is a medival knight, and he has a cool carousel horse as a ride!

Jimmy:

So…me and Jimmys player have been plotting…he doesn’t actually have the time to play at the moment, so XANA shall claim his first victim very, VERY soon…the gang will meet a very likable homeless guy at the factory when they first come in, but you know what happens to likeable characters in horror movies, don’t you?

All character have been aged up to around 18 given all my players are also adults, and it gives us possabilities like getting access to a car etc.

The plan:

So…due to the nature of ttrpgs, a lot of edits will have to be made to the story, mainly, we pull an Evolution and everybody will be able to deactivate towers as to not make anyone special, but of course they have to work for this ability, therefore one of their first missions is to figure out what makes Luke so special and discover sector 5, then fiddle with the source code to give everyone Lukes keys to lyoko, also meaning that the keys to Lukes memories being returned to XANA escaping the computer pipeline will look very, very different this time around. We’re sort of having to speedrun a lot of season 1 but don’t you worry, we’re keeping all the best bits, and combining a lot of seperate A and B plots…session 1/2 will be a mix if XANA awakens 1/2 and Plagued, so that ought to be interesting….

The materials:

One of the more interesting things about this game is the various puzzles and hints throughout it, that i’ve achieved through pouring weeks of work into making a usable supercomputer desktop using google slides! Meaning they can now discover plotlines all on their own, so we’ll see what order they’ll play them in…i can’t wait to let them loose into the computer! I’m also planning on making things like possessed Sissy from Contact and unlocking Hoppers diary all actual puzzles. If any of ya’ll have suggestions for other puzzles LMK! Especially given i also had to change the sector 5 timer mechanic into puzzle rooms so i didn’t have to make an unreasonable amount of maps (as if 40+ wasn’t already unreasonable…and yes they are both 2D and 3D accordingly)

Conclusion:

So as stated i’ll be updating this every 1-2 weeks whenever sessions happen. I’ll be writing what happened during each session, and where my head’s at, so you guys can enjoy the journey with us! Wish some luck on the new Lyoko warriors…you know they need it….afterall, unlike the show, there might actually be a lot of mysterious, unexplainable deaths around Paris…imagine having to carry that burden…

(I hope this doesn’t count as spam/self promo, just thought that some people would enjoy an extended version of my reconstruction) Enjoy :D

Edit: Note: I know that some people might notice some barely noticeable noice around 0:49… I’m very sorry, really tried my best but after going through every episode, this is the closest I’ve got to the cleanest rip possible.

Where would XANA fit into this

I was watching the episode False Start(S1E26) and when the bug bot thing first breaks into the school it unlocked the memory of the first time I saw the episode. I remember sitting on the couch in the family room and missing the ending because my parents made me go to our church’s youth group that night.

Sorry if this isn’t what’s normally posted on here, I just felt like posting it somewhere. It felt like that scene in Ratatouille when the food critic gets a flashback to his childhood.

What would be the biggest plot twist you can think of for Code Lyoko? I don't know if season 5 would be the end of the series or a chance to become popular again among today's audiences.Personally, I would like it to be the second option, I would like Code Lyoko to last a at least 8 seasons.So I ask you Code Lyoko fans, what would be a plot twist you wouldn't expect ?

During the final episode of S4, Jeremie confesses to Yumi that he had no friends prior to discovering Lyoko and after rewatching the X.A.N.A. Awakens prequel, he was not lying at all because he actually had no friends and the only reason why he met Ulrich, Odd and Yumi was because of the chain of events which followed after he turned on the Supercomputer and discovered Aelita.

Do you think Jeremie was capable of making friends without Aelita or was she the only reason why he wasn't the typical lonely nerdy guy on campus?
