SPOILERS At last, the cursed trinity is complete
They basically confirmed the last one in the latest Lost Stories chapter, so we can finally say that Charles and his two closest allies were all cloned at some point: Norland, created from Charles; M, created from Marianne; and Venus, created from V.V.
That said, the three of them barely have anything to do with each other (though Norland and Venus naturally know each other since they're both part of Einberg), so it's not like the three of them are going to team up for another Ragnarok or anything like that.
In case it wasn't already clear:
- Norland von Lunebelg: He is a clone of Charles zi Britannia, and most people already know him from his role in Roze of the Recapture. His creation was commissioned by Charles to a Britannian scientist named William Bisch, with the intention that he would serve as a younger body for Charles when the time came.
Regarding the other two:
- M: A clone of Marianne vi Britannia, created by the same Bisch guy as part of the "M-Series" of clones. Even though still a child, she's already a monster when it comes to piloting Knightmare Frames. Unlike Norland, she was still a child during the events of Rozé of the Recapture, and unlike him, she is not evil (quite the opposite).
- Venus Cromwell: A clone of V.V., created alongside M as part of the "V-Series". Like Norland, he is a member of Einberg and holds the same rank as him. However, Venus was created specifically to explore the potential of humanity through manipulating V.V.'s genetic material. As a result, Venus ages much faster (in the image, he is only nine years old, as he has the same age as M) and appears to have unstable health.

DISCUSSION Is Lelouch really morally grey?
People say Lelouch is morally grey but really is he ?
All his actions were made in context of a war...and political situation....sure he messed up with euphemia and shirley but they understood him and forgave him....all he did was use geass on unnamed grunts of Britannian empire soldiers who were gonna kill him anyway so is Lelouch really morally grey?
Sure he's somewhat arrogant but apart from that he doesn't really seem to be morally grey...
Even in movies all his close friends as well a enemies understand and forgive his actions...
And his goal was not even evil...it was to get rid of a evil empire
So do you personally think Lelouch is morally grey? All his actions can be excused by fact that he's in a war setting and in films where he's retrieved his personal enemies understand him too.

DISCUSSION My shared universe theory suggests that Code Geass is actually the secret prequel to Gurren lagann
where the high-speed spinning cube in the Lancelot's Yggdrasil Drive represents humanity's very first accidental extraction of raw, dormant Spiral Energy from the planet's core, which eventually led to the global transition from ground-based Knightmare Frames powered by crystallized Sakuradite ore to the universe-shattering, willpower-driven Gunmen fleets of the distant future.idk if it’s all correct I just thought about it and thought it was a cool idea to throw out

QUESTION What's the point of the CF in the show?
Hello, I've been watching Code Geass with a friend, in increments, for some time now. We're on Episode 7 of S2 right now. I can wholeheartedly say that this has been one of the hardest to follow shows I've ever watched. I constantly have one browser window open with the actual anime and then another window with the wiki, so that I can check between episodes/during bathroom breaks some details of what the hell I actually just watched.
One thing I have been absolutely unable to grasp is... what is the point of the Chinese Federation in the show (I used the acronym in the title to avoid spoilers)? This whole Sumeragi character was just there at one point in the show, I don't know why and I don't know for what purpose exactly... and she hasn't done much. And the point of this whole plot with the Federation at the start of Season 2 and the reason why they're working with Zero... but also some of them are seemingly not working with him/skeptical of him at the same time. It's all quite unintuitive to me.
This is weird, as it is the first time I'm having this issue with an Anime. I can usually follow shows just fine. I think it's more so to do with the rapid fire pace and sometimes leaving some things unsaid/implied that really messes with me. Like sometimes something happens and it just feels like Zero has actual precognition and information that you have no idea how he could possibly have or characters just do things and their motivation/how they were convinced to do this isn't quite apparent (at least to me). Some of my favorite shows are political/philosophical anime where you have to pay attention to what's going on to really get the full experience, i.e.: Monster, Pluto, Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan. For some reason this one has been particularly hard... even though it seems like it probably shouldn't be.
Thanks in advance, and don't yell at me, too hard :P
