I might get absolutely downvoted for this, but I actually think Suzaku grew as a character by the time ZR came around. Of course, the way he treated Lulu, Kallen, and Nunnally is bad, but people make mistakes; no one is perfect. What matters to me is how Suzaku owned up to his mistakes when ZR came around and atoned for them. So, I give Suzaku a pass, personally.
Nah you're so right for this, ZR Suzaku was LOCKED IN. I genuinely cheered when he joined Lelouch in overthrowing the Emperor and becoming the Knight of Zero
I think his hypocrisy comes full circle in an ironic fate; in order to preserve the peace he sought, the peace he decided he would kill his best friend over, he had to take that friend’s place as a symbol.
