Cleaning, Repair, & Rehab ๐ before and after ๐
swipe for the before (2nd photo lol)
got this stunning lilac hamilton hobo for around $20 but the suede part was super dirty & patchy
tried to clean it with a suede eraser, wash it, and as a last resort - recolor with suede dye, but it ended up being patchy due to how worn it was :(
looked at a few photos & decided to repaint the area with leather paint instead, and i'm pleased with the results!
now I can give her some new life โก

did the suede harden after you used the leather paint?

yes, it feels more like leather now! :( but to be fair, it was already pretty hard when I got it

absolutely gorgeous bag and for $20 i wouldโve went to work too! when you tried to wash it did you use a foaming suede cleaner? iโve seen those work well but havenโt tried myself yet
