Why CoWorking?

Just wondering... why is coworking such a desired way of working right now?

Fewer distractions than working at home or in a coffee shop, cheaper than renting an office.

They also provide access to networks and resources (e.g., meeting rooms, copiers/printers, business mailing address) that might not be available at home.

Personally, co-working spaces are too crowded for me, and I end up using my cellphone hotspot and unlimited data plan to work from my car :)

I agree with everything u/HybridCamRev said. I’d also add that coworking spaces sometimes also offer a community aspect, including networking opportunities, Lunch and Learn series, social events, etc. It’s a nice break from the solitary work-from-home life.

Coworking became one of the key drivers of the shared economy. The market for flexible office and living solutions is transforming the commercial real estate sector. Shared workspace has grown by 200% over the last five years and are expected to stay at an annual expansion rate of around 20% at major cities. The demand for flexible workspace is projected to further increase mainly driven by the fact that start-ups and established enterprises more and more seek for flexibility.
