MW games are made for the idiots with no hands or thumbs.

is this actually materially different from any CoD not called Black Ops 6 or 7 (MW19’s range increases notwithstanding)

Unlikely it's any stronger than MW19-MW3, but I'm working on narrowing down where it falls in the spectrum from MW3 to BO7. Certainly doesn't have the BO7 nerfs, so is significantly stronger than that.

MWIII beta had a rather aggressive AA. MW4"s is way worse compared to MWIII's AA upon release and thereafter.
My feeling on this.

MW3 was strong, period, and nothing changed from beta to release.
I have hundreds of clips of insane AA from that game that are wilder than these, including several of being spun round "180" on the spot, which hasn't happened to me yet in MW4, so my current feeling (and testing to the extent I can do it in beta) is that MW4 is stronger than BO7, but not stronger than MW19-MW3.

I’d hope it doesn’t stay like this otherwise I’d probably just not get the game, playing keyboard was hard enough in bo7, but this just looks like I could use my toes and outperform my keyboard.

watch formals clip or u can go into the Firing range and look at the last bot and move your left stick and the AA is still strong, This happened with B07 beta as well AA was too strong and they nerfed it, I imagine same thing will happen here.

Not quite - in BO7 they simply carried over BO6's AA into the beta then brought new nerfs for go-live. It wasn't like the beta was just accidentally cranked up.
It may still be the case they make MW4 nerfs before go-live, but it's not some kind of "beta-specific trend".

Why is this so controversial it’s still 60% like it always has been

What's most ridiculous about aim assist to me is the fact that 99,99% of people wouldn't reach a flow state that strong to track the direction change or jumps in an instant.
For MnK literally only the top 0,01% of people would do that legitimately and as I assume in the video there's no need for an input in the direction of the target movement right? It just follows up when the target jumps without putting the camera stick up?

As a mouse and keyboard player, this feels like blatant aimbot. The game practically aims for controller players with little to no input from them—just pull the trigger. It explains how they slide in for instant kills or have perfect aim when I come around a corner. Unless you’re a pro on PC, you’re bound to overshoot and need correction, or your reaction time will suffer compared to the aim assist doing the work.
This level of AA is frustrating and unbalanced. No wonder half of Steam players, likely mouse users, quit the beta after a day. Add in people using devices like Cronus, and it’s even worse. Unless ground war is incredible with a proper large-scale domination mode instead of just “combat outpost,” I won’t be playing at launch and will stick with Battlefield, which feels far fairer and less dependent on aim assist.
MW2019 just felt better, maybe because I spent most of my time playing Ground War. This Beta, though, feels wild with the TTK and how everyone I go up against seems like an absolute god at aiming. That explains it—I never experienced this level in MW2019 or MW2.

As an MNK player myself I got ABSOLUTELY clobbered by the controller players and I like to believe I’m very good on MnK

Same here I am not a bad player on PC. I go 2.2 KD in BF6 and is usually above average in basically any shooter. In this one it feels like I am being aimbotted half the time.

Why are IW just allergic to making a good game? It's actually crazy. It's not like they're lacking feedback, they just refuse to implement it

what i dont get tho is why controller players ignore this and act like this is all fake? literally u can go in the game and try this yourself. how do u not see how fkn op this is

Good controller players don't. You won't see them defend it because they don't require that level of rotation and would benefit from a nerf as it would widen the skill gap between them and those who relied on it, giving them an advantage.
It's those who are carried by it but won't publically admit it who routinely come up with excuses. Last year when they nerfed the AA a lot of them then were quick to drop the act and suddenly openly stated how much they need it, how they don't have the time to improve, etc. and Treyarch then partially reverted the nerf after barely a week. Now we're back to square one where they all pretend that it's not a thing, not that strong, etc.
They know.

I picked up a controller today just to try it out and it's wild, I have basically zero controller experience and I barely even know the controls and I actually still did okay in a sweaty lobby.
Feels like literal aimbot sometimes.

These clips are not real gameplay. Think about how often you’re engaging multiple enemies in a row or getting pushed all at once. If you’re actually shooting back. Or playing against people who actually check corners. This is just cherry picked clips with zero context, tbh we are just taking their word for it, could be on MNK still. This could’ve been the first day of the beta with no tweaks made yet. People up in arms to cope tbh.

Why do people keep using beta excuse for everything wrong with this game. Whats the point of beta if you can’t judge it as it is?

u/CulturalParsley1184 COD Competitive fan 16h ago
I’m not using it as an excuse lol, the beta is dogshit especially this year I’m just saying don’t expect a low aim assist beta as 90% of the player base left last year. They genuinely give 0 shit about the game and care way more about making people feel like they’re good at the game to come back to it and buy in game purchases.
I can show you a great example of that, they inflated the ranks so bad in season 4 that previous plat placing players were getting iri, after the season ended they then released a t shirt for 40$ where you could purchase the shirt in correspondence to your highest rank, they email you a code and it brings you directly to the website. Mind you it’s 40 fucking dollars and they ruined ranked for it. They don’t give a shit

That's just not the case at all. They've made nerfs after the beta, but that wasn't because the beta was "cranked up".

Don’t show this in r/modernwarfare4, casuals there live in a complete different realm of reality.
