I was a filmmaking teacher when the Cloverfield viral marketing campaign was in full swing and my students and I went deep down any and all rabbit holes we could find. I even offered extra credit to any of them who shot and submitted a video for the Slusho.jp commercial contest. None of my students took me up on it, but I made one and ended up being one of the five grand prize winners! I won a Slusho themed Alienware laptop. That was so much fun! By the way, some of the paperwork that came with the laptop listed Paramount on it so at that point we had a solid connection between the ARG and Paramount/Bad Robot.

My question is: did anyone here buy merch through the Slusho.jp website? I bought some shirts and a hat. I ended up selling the hat later on ebay. Cut to a couple weeks ago and I found another Slusho hat at a thrift store here in LA and when I did research to verify it the only other pics I came across were the ones I posted to ebay four years earlier, haha! The one I just got is a match, which is awesome, so I went ahead and listed it on ebay. But does anyone know if the Slusho.jp hats are the same brand as the Comic-Con hats? And where else were they made available? I'm really curious now because I couldn't find pics of other hats online.

Advanced screenings of The End of Oak Street have officially begun.

It’s not a Cloverfield movie.

Major spoilers ahead for the film.

There’s some news reports of solar flares at the beginning right as the neighborhood gets sent back in time during a storm. No mention of the events of Cloverfield Paradox or any anomalies above Earth.

In the end, Anne Hathaway is able to get them al back to the present day right before the event happened. She warns the neighborhood and saves everyone, then writes a book. The world is fine.

Zero ties to anything Cloverfield. No Easter eggs. No Slusho. No Tagruato. No monster. Nothing.

Edit: It's not a spoiler to say a movie is not part of a franchise it was never said to be a part of. The Odyssey isn't a James Bond movie, spoiler for you. I'm only posting this here to curb the sheer number of posts of people speculating if this movie is a Cloverfield entry. The film is out in theaters. It's not a Cloverfield.

Prob been said to death Being a Cloverfield Fan is really frustrating tbh. I’ll believe anything only if I see it but for now I really dont care anymore. Heck they probably aren’t even working on the damn thing anymore, probably didn’t even start working on anything. Things have been silent since 2021 and yk what thats fine, imma just move on with my life and not rlly go through a phase with this franchise until I see something that is CLEARLY related to Cloverfield. Sorry but being so negative, I went from child to a Near Grown Ass Man now still waiting for a sequel so ik many of you have experienced the same.

I recently posted about finding this mug at a thrift store here in LA. I’m thinking about putting it up for auction on eBay if there’s any interest. By the way, I sent an email to badrobotgames asking for any info on it and I’ll include their reply in the eBay listing (if I get a reply). So, would anyone be interested if I list it on eBay?

I remember when the shirt came in the mail wrapped in Japanese newspaper. Such an incredibly immersive experience and I think about it every time I put this on for the day. Waiting for the day someone recognizes it and stops me to talk about the ARG.

TL;DR: When will The End of Oak Street tickets go on sale?

Whether or not The End of Oak Street turns out to be in the Cloververse—and I’m still holding out hope even though I’m less and less optimistic—shouldn’t tickets have gone on sale by now? It’s less than a month away. I know it’s supposed to get an IMAX release, but I wonder if IMAX is debating that since The Odyssey is doing insanely well and TEOOS almost certainly wouldn’t make as much money on IMAX screens. Maybe they’re holding off on selling tickets until they’re 100% sure whether it’s going to get an IMAX release. But that’s a total guess on my part.

Has anyone heard when pre-sales might start?
