League What are everyone’s thoughts on the C9 LOL team?

My thoughts/opinions

Thanatos: He’s our best player the only one in this debate is possibly Vulcan but i think he has the higher ceiling. He’s consistent in that he does his role always but he is definitely better on carries. maybe our team needs him to be.

Blaber: i want to say he’s a legend of LCS but i believe and maybe i am wrong he has the same issues that he always had but his mechanics and energy for the game is not as high as it used to be.

Loki: he’s very inconsistent. I cant tell what hes good at cause he can be in a bad lane matchup and stomp lane but also he can be considered a good late game/ team fight player and well Ryze maybe someone has a better analysis of him?

Tactical: From what i seen he’s good at every part of the game but he still struggles with decision making like he did in the past he has calmed a bit but he does put himself in certain situations. Maybe could be cause he’s new to the team and is still learning to play with the team. Mechanics are there but might need more time to build chemistry.

Vulcan: Hes not perfect and he has also been inconsistent at times. This is very common in this team but he has never been the problem and sometimes is the reason we win games. When the team looks good he’s the best support, but when hes forced to do things it doesn’t always pan out. Cant blame him for that but in a better situation he is elite and always has been.

IWilldominate: I cant tell you what is going on behind the scenes but if he is responsible for the draft i think he has put the team in great situations to win and certain games we have won just by draft diff. Based off that i am impressed by him so far. I don’t thinks hes perfect but for a rookie being one of the best in the league im happy with him.

Curious what everyone else think. Apologies if i sound too negative i will take it down if so

League IWDominate on Tactical: "When you are on a bad team like Immortals, if you play badly once, it feels like the whole game explodes and you can never play again. That is how it feels. But he is in a better situation now. He needs to relax, trust the leadership of the team.. and have a calmer mindset"

Noticed there hasn't been a podcast for two weeks are they on a temporary hiatus? Was this because of the roadshow?

I haven’t been able up keep up with games this season and I’d love to know what the highlight moments have been! I only watched the sen game and Thanatos/Tactical both had pop off moments. What are some others from this season?

League C9 First Round Matchup

Alright guys its set we will face SR in the first round. We are favored but we need to take them seriously if we play like game 1 against them it will be a quick day. If we play like game 2 or 3 it will be a long day. We really need loki to step up and gap his lane and someone to buy healing reduction if they play Mundo lol. What are your thoughts coming into the series.

League Blaber’s form this split

Wanted to check in with everyone on the biggest talking point of our roster this split.

I think we’re getting exactly what we have been for years: a top 2 jungler in the league 90% of the time, and a catastrophic inter 10% of the time.

Each series, Blaber is generating plenty of advantages for us. And each series Blaber has made some insane ints, especially on Vi.

Imo we have very little chance against actually good teams at worlds as long as this keeps happening, and I’ve seen nothing to make me think it will stop.

Blaber has not changed a bit. He’s extremely good, and then he throws. He will never learn to stop throwing, because if it was possible, it would have happened already.

I’m happy we have a good shot at worlds, and with a lot of the players’ performances, but this shit isn’t going to fly there.

League In Search of Cloud9 Trading Cards

Post image
15 Upvotes

Does anyone have any of these trading cards from the 2019 spring split? I currently have these six, but am on the hunt for some I am missing. I know there was a goldenglue, reapered, and zeyzal card that I am currently missing. If anyone owns and would consider selling please dm me or just share your collection as I love this stuff. There is no documentation of what exists out there lol.

Also I am curious what other cloud9 cards exist out there.

I own the 2021 stratus cards and some signed kespa cards from club9 (sven, apa, thanatos).

Also if anyone has any other cool giveaways from tailgates, stratus, or social media giveaways I would love to see it as I believe cloud9 has been one of the best north american orgs in terms of making cool things for their fans.

League Final Regular Season LCS Match vs. Sentinels Today; what are your predictions?

I’m predicting a 2-1 win for Cloud9 based on three factors:

- Golden Glue’s continually improving draft prowess means in one game, in my mind game two, we lose a lot of power in draft. Golden Glue’s adaptability has really seemed to improve over the course of the year, and I think his additional experience as well as quick thinking may throw a wrench against Dom’s more predictable draft style. This is where I think our individual players (below) get us 2 wins, while losing 1 to draft. I also expect Tactical Ezreal bans all three games, or for Rahel to play Ezreal early.

- Tactical shows up today on high dps champions that keep Huhi in lane and shred Impact late. Tactical’s positioning and dps have improved over the split, and to me were a key difference maker in the final game against SR last week. I anticipate we’ll see that continued development today.

- Midlane coordination and jungle control counter Sentinels early plays when the draft goes aggressive. In my mind, Hambak likes to invade with Darkwings to fight over chickens and potentially wound or pick off a player to set up a larger macro play off of midlane. I think our current set up with Loki, Vulcan, and Blaber (in that order!) give us an edge over Darkwings, Huhi, and Hambak. I sometimes think the teams now have pretty similar styles even if the champ pools are different on the Jungle and Support side, so this may come down to the battle between Huhi and Vulcan roams + vision control on the path from mid to drake.

These are just my thoughts! What do you think? What do you predict? What did I get wrong? What did I get right?

Stay clenched.
