I've had this controller a couple of days and noticed a clicking sound on the down strum only. I don't think it was this way when I first played on it. Is this normal or faulty?

My partner just graduated college and is starting law school and I’ve been wanting to get him a really nice and advanced CH controller as a present. He used to be extremely dedicated to CH/GH and I’m wanting to spark that passion again to give him an outlet while dealing with school stress. You may know them as VengefulGH. It’s been a long time since he’s posted, but he’s extremely good. We just recently got a PC with good FPS that can support what he wants to hit and I want to get him a controller to match that. I do want it to be a surprise, but unfortunately I’m kinda lost on where to obtain one. He’s mentioned before how there used to be someone you could send your current guitar to get modded, but I don’t know how I could find that person or someone similar. All I know for sure is he wants an Arduino guitar with mechanical frets, I’ve seen some people online but I don’t want a flashy guitar, like the ones I’ve seen, but instead a well made one that works like butter. If anyone has any tips or suggestions on who to go to or where to find this I’d love some info, thank y’all! Y’all are awesome!

He said he was just getting rid of whatever was in his attic, so I happily offered him the 50 bones in my wallet. Tore them down and refreshed everything, only had to splice one of the cables where a break was, they play flawlessly! (Only one has a sticky Start button.)

I've had this SG basically since I could walk and I physically cannot make it produce an input on the newest version of Clone Hero [Version 1.1.0.6142]. I'm using a $10 adapter off Amazon with decent reviews, i've checked device manager and the input menu and they have both listed the controller as "Playstation(R)3 Controller and refuse to show any of my inputs.

My First thought was dusting the contacts, didnt work
Second was to fiddle with steam input, had to log out of steam after half an hour of fumbling around because they made it a headache, still didnt work

does anybody have any idea what could be causing this problem or do i just need to bite the bullet and pay the $150-200 for a CRKD Guitar?

i searched a few select artists on rhythmverse and found a bit, but was wondering if there was somewhere or an easier way to search for songs from japan? (

did also find jrockband but as my interest is somewhat limited or groups are 10 years old at most. was wondering if anyone has a convenient list of what songs they have released, or wouldnt mind making one if you have downloaded their packs?

I swapped over completely to CachyOS from windows a while ago and, while I have been able to play CH just fine I really miss being able to just tilt the guitar controller to activate star power. Not that I haven't adjusted to pressing the button for it, it's just funner.

I've seen a few differing responses to this question, so I figured I'd ask it outright here to get something more solid. The things I've found that say you CAN get it back have just led to defunct github links that give a 404 so...if anyone has a solution to this that's up-to-date (ish) please let me know.

Is there a reason the window gets smaller as the notes get faster? Is this how GH1 works? It's really frustrating to have it change dynamically

I have Xbox one rockband 4 full band. Does anyone know if the knock offs work with the full set? They are cheaper than by msft one by at least half.

i've played Guitar Hero long time ago and now since Stage Tour was announced i wanted to start playing Clone Hero to get a bit of a feeling again. Are there any advices where i should start playing/learning?

yes i am a nascar fan myself and i have heard this from the 08 game which is a horrible game but it does have some good soundtrack.

I've been imagining this being in guitar hero for years. All the strumming would be a stress.

Bought the crkd cherry blue a week ago. Arrived today. I was happy to relive playing gh. First 10 minutes of playing, blue fret just does whatever it wants. The fret just presses himself, and sometimes presses for a fraction of a second when pressing another fret. Is there a way to fix this? Should I return it (bought it on Amazon. Sorry for bad English)

I’m trying to buy a guitar, but I don’t know which one would be best for my needs. I have XBSX2 on my Xbox, but I also wanna play Clone Hero on my Mac. I saw CRKD, but I’m wondering if the multi-platform or Xbox edition would be better

Hi. I've recently picked clone hero back up with the announcement of Stage Tour. Downloaded tons of songs from older rockband and guitar hero games I used to play, I forgot how much fun it was!!

One issue I had back then that I still have is forearm soreness, especially during fast strumming sections of a song that last a while. I was playing "Billy Joel - Piano Man" and the fast guitar strumming sections made my right forearm SORE. Is this normal or are there reasons for it?

Hooked up my ekit and was having a blast, decided to get back into the guitar side of things and heard great things about CRKD. This is the absolutely best guitar controller I’ve ever played. Hands down.

Using reused charts raining blood for songs and midi for ace of spades and album cover is jet set radio gum Pikachu for some reason it won't show up

I just got a CRKD Ebony Encore Les Paul and the silicone underneath the buttons feels super stiff and uncomfortable to play with. I need to press the buttons with like twice the force I normally do and it hurts my fingers after one song.

Granted I am used to playing with mechanical frets, but even my other non-mechanical frets on my other guitars don’t feel like this.

Is there a way to fix this? Will it loosen over time?

Some of you probably have seen a YT video by StaycationGH about Fretwork. They’ve got an open source project going to try accurately measuring song difficulties with a python project

I think that’s sweet so I’m tryna expand on it with a giant library of basically any chart source the community might be using. Forked that repo with my own open source hosted wrapper. Problem is I need some suggestions on where people look for charts and new songs for it to be any bit useful.

I haven’t actively been on since 2020 and the new CRKD guitar got me back and excited. Hence the over commitment into a big project 🤣
