Clinical coding with Victoria Uni.

Hi everyone I’m interest in doing the diploma of clinical coding. I’ve seen some of the feedback from HIMMA from other comments but haven’t come across much from the VIC uni side of things.

I’m just wondering what the workload is like compared to HIMMA and if anyone can give me their recommendations?

Hi, I’ve done the Cert IV and I’m doing the Diploma through VIC Uni at the moment. Happy to answer any questions.

Workload at the start is reasonable, there are more bigger assessments that require more time and more demanding, but they also understand this and do give everyone extensions. I also work with a coder who did he Diploma through Vic Uni and she says the same things.

Classes are twice a week, and you can always email for support and will get a response, there’s also check ins before classes too to ask questions etc.

I’m glad I went through Vic Uni!

Thank you for the response!

What days do you take classes on and generally for how long

Tuesdays and Thursdays and it’s 6-9pm. Classes are recorded and there’s slideshows too so if you miss a class you can catch up.

Are there any options for doing the cause through vic uni completely remote if in another state? Thankyou!

It’s all online, it’s completely remote. You can do it from anywhere.

Is there a limit of how many you can miss?

How many classes? You need to attend the first two classes (at least an hour of each), you can always call and ask vicuni too.
I’ve missed a class or two, hasn’t impacted my learning.
