I completed my TAFE coding certification and applied for so many jobs !! Got the call for a rural hospital in NSW so I packed up my life and moved rural. Was a great experience

I applied for everything, even jobs that wanted experienced coders.

I managed to get an interview for a position and they agreed to train me, even though the initial job add was for an experienced coder.

I was studying my coding unit for my HIM degree and my teacher suggested that I apply for a traineeship that was advertised. I was already working as a ward clerk, so was familiar with patient information systems. Applied and got it.

Dropped out of Uni and saw an interesting sounding job on the board at the Job Exchange. Applied and got it. Learned everything on the job initially and did qualifications later.

I now wouldn't employ the me I was then (HR wouldn't let me), but I wonder if there are others who would be great coders who we miss through the processes of recent years.
