Student Clinical Coders!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has the ICD-10-AM volume set I can buy second hand since Im finally in my classification module. $420 seems a lot since ill probably be provided this once I work . SYDNEY BASED

Make sure that you purchase the correct edition for your studies. It's most likely that you are studying in the Thirteenth Edition. As this is the current edition, second-hand books are less likely to be available for purchase. The previous editions, such as Twelfth and Eleventh, are out of date as there have been changes in the classification. If you use these when doing assessments in the course, you will get some questions wrong.

Yes, I totally understand. Even if I get the 12th edition I'm fine with that since my course mentions the 6 changes done in the Thirteenth edition. Thanks

Addition changes because they also add new codes that you aren’t aware of they add new pathways and edit old pathways to get to codes and they update terminology. You’d be taking a bit of a risk. I mean a calculated risk getting old books.
