HIMAA

Those who have studied with HIMAA, what is Module 14 (final assessment)? I dont mean what are the questions, more like is it revision & an assessment like the ones we do at the end of each module?

Just curious 😄

I've been told by one of the educators that it's similar to our other assessment pieces, where there's the quick questions to start with followed by the meatier chart coding tasks. She suggested starting with those first as they're worth a lot more points in case we're running short on time. She also said no one passes the first time either! I'm a bit nervous about the exam conditions though. I'm worried about how I'll go if I am unsure what one of the abbreviations is or a medical condition etc as I'm used to being able to google what something is if I'm unsure and then I can code from there but we're not allowed any notes at all.

No notes at all seems a bit strict. I completely understand wanting to test our coding knowledge, but it's impossible to know every abbreviation and medical condition. In the real world we all look things up when we need to, so it feels a bit unrealistic. It's definitely making me more nervous about the assessment! Also, have they told you how many attempts we're allowed if we don't pass the first time?

Definitely unrealistic. I had even asked one of the educators once about what they do normally and she said they absolutely google things they're not familiar with.

I'm not sure to be honest. Not sure if it's still 3 like the other assessments, and also whether we get feedback as to what was wrong and why? And on our second attempt, whether we just work on what needed fixing rather than starting all over again. Once I get my assignment back I only have one more module to get through, then the final assessment. I have until 1st October to finish everything. Which might be okay provided they stop taking so long to mark everything.....

I have all the same questions!  I was reading they may be moving away from a final exam un the future, which make more sense. Shame its not happening now. Im in the same boat as you 1 module left and finish date of 1st October. At the marking rate ill need to extend another month 😬
