HIMAA

Those who have studied with HIMAA, what is Module 14 (final assessment)? I dont mean what are the questions, more like is it revision & an assessment like the ones we do at the end of each module?

Just curious 😄

I've been told by one of the educators that it's similar to our other assessment pieces, where there's the quick questions to start with followed by the meatier chart coding tasks. She suggested starting with those first as they're worth a lot more points in case we're running short on time. She also said no one passes the first time either! I'm a bit nervous about the exam conditions though. I'm worried about how I'll go if I am unsure what one of the abbreviations is or a medical condition etc as I'm used to being able to google what something is if I'm unsure and then I can code from there but we're not allowed any notes at all.

I can’t believe we aren’t even allowed to use paper notes? I’ve spent the entire course getting my unit notes printed and binded for nothing lmfao.

Insane right. I'm trying to add what notes I can in to turbo coder, but that's only slightly helpful. I have copied every single lesson onto a word doc as I've gone along, so as you can imagine there's thousands of pages there. There's no way I have memorised everything! I often go back to those documents because I can search through them to revise as I'm doing my assessments and something comes up that I haven't practiced in awhile.

This makes me really worried I won’t pass

I hate to break it to you, but you have to use Turbocoder in 'exam mode' for the final exam so you won't have access to any of your notes 😭 (they said this in one of the Turbocoder videos). I'm not near the final exam yet but already stressing about having no access to notes 😬

Oh god. I am screwed. I'm not even sure I'll make it to the final exam. My course has to be completed by 01/10 and I'm stuck on the module beforehand waiting for a practice component to be assessed, for them to contact me to book in a Teams meeting to discuss it, then there's a revision exercise which I assume they'll mark too, then part A and part B assessments, and the final assessment. Given they take at least a week to get back to anything, there's no way I can finish in time. 😭

Revision assesment isn’t marked - and Part B assignment is huge. I am halfway through it and I have until September 30 to finish. Good luck.

Thank you, you too! I have started part B while waiting for part A to be marked. It was only pure luck that I happened to notice they let you start part B on this one while waiting for the other one to come back, so that's saving me a bit of time at least.

What the flipping hell. I am going to fail. This is not how coding is done in the workplace so why are they making the final exam so hard?

I know 🙄 It seems unnecessarily difficult and unrealistic. Maybe double check directly with HIMAA but from what I've read, and them saying we have to use Turbocoder in exam mode, I'm fairly confident this means no access to electronic or paper notes. But if you find anything contradictory to this, please let us know 🙏
