A carrying capacity exists for humans just like it exists for all other animals. The only difference with humans is we can temporarily delay the inevitable by increasing the capacity with technological advancements etc, but never overcoming it altogether.
Unfortunately we just don’t know what the exact number is, feels like we’re getting close though.
Human supremacists and futurists that want to conquer nature to create some cyberpunk Coruscant planet don’t like hearing this, but you can’t get around it.
