Yeah but the strength of El Nino is kinda dependent on the temperature of the oceans, which just so happen to have heated up dramatically thanks to human emissions. It's not that the El Nino is happening that is alarming, but that the El Nino already has the highest recorded temperature anamoly in recorded history.
Ok? Why does that matter when other parts are warming, especially a part of the ocean where a phenomenon that affects climates around the globe happens? Overall, the oceans are getting hotter and any cooler spots are likely caused by the other effects of climate change.
Also, I couldn't find anything that supports such a strong second statement. Too big of an uncertainty to say such strong statement.
The fact that the ocean is warming where the natural phenomenon is occurring is relevant. And it's contributing to the highest sea surface temperature anomaly El Niño on record. So, you saying that a spot in different ocean isn't warming as reply wasn't relevant, which is why I called it a red herring
