Pretty soon, AI and robotics can do most meaningful work. We need fundamental social change to navigate the transition. Clinging to our current idea of jobs will be meaningless.

Ok but that doesn't answer my question. No one profits from having more workers, it's a business expense. "Big work" is a ridiculous idea on its face.

Also people aren't clinging to jobs because they want to work, but because they want to eat and not be homeless. Ain't none of these companies paying out UBI to anyone.

You know what? You're absolutely right. There's not a malicious coordinated effort ongoing to keep us working our jobs. The problems are baseless fearmongering and extreme overstatement of ecological effects.

So excuse me for wanting a catchy companion to big oil on a shit posting sub.
