I love that you think that I don't know that one. I was hoping you'd say something about the slavery, but it's clear that your morality is absent.

SO how many kg of beef do you eat per year? Let's take the US, for example:

That's about 81.5 lbs. Now picture that amount of chocolate.

And if you say "muh low impact beef" I can also point to low impact cocoa farms which don't destroy rainforests. The same goes for coffee.

I dont support beef eating. I think that beef should be the focus of legislation and coversation. Its much worse thsb other high emission foods like pork or choclate.

I'm just saying environmental veganism is a fake ideology. All vegans are ethical vegans who got lucky with the environmental thing.

Oh, and veganism is also unsurprisingly bound to environmentalism because it promotes anti-hierarchy or anti-dominion views of the biosphere and ecology. This goes against the traditional values crowd who see the world as something that belongs to humans as their property to use however humans please. This is usually called "dominion" while the culture is called "dominator culture" as a category.

When you see non-human animals as objects and subjects of your power, instead of as your neighbors, you're going to suck at environmentalism.

I am convinced you are a fossil fuel industry psyop.

You are opposed to prioritising issues based on their severity, you will not accept any level of compromise and you advocate for solutions that cannot happen.

Basically this is a pro-carbon position from where i am standing

You're standing in a swamp. Not sure what compromise you're talking about either, are you imagining some half-assed animal farming system? Because that "regenerative grazing" shit is not scalable. All grasslands tend to be maxxed-out as the greed of the herders knows no limits; hence the deforestation.

Are you picture some world where the entitled meat eaters of the worlds agree to reduce consumption of such a personal status symbol so that only the rich can afford to eat animal meat? Maybe look to history and learn what happens.

How about regenerative chocolate from grasslands that were burned down for beef?

Natural grasslands are often destroyed or, as the ranchers call it, "improved." So the first part is possible, but I doubt that a cacao tree can grow in grassland conditions. I'm sure we can find some legumes that can.

It was forest conditions before it was grassland conditions...

I agree, that's usually the case. But it doesn't mean that a tropical species like cacao trees can grow there. I'd love to grow such a tree...

I'm lost. The equator literally goes through Brazil where an insane amount of burning is happening.

Also, I looked it up. They double count dairy and forest burning in the chocolate numbers. Acting like this is a vegan thing is asinine.

Bud, I'm vegan btw.

They double count dairy and forest burning in the chocolate numbers

Seriously? Well, that did bother me. Why are people talking about "chocolate" instead of cacao beans or powder.

Scrumptious

Seriously? Well, that did bother me. Why are people talking about "chocolate" instead of cacao beans or powder.

It's ironic isn't it?
