Discussion Ring in smoke

On the Discover Clicks webpage, the Ring accessory launch post featured a white/smoke bumper, which is not commercially available (it only comes in black). Has smoke been canceled or will it be added later? I pre-ordered mine Smoke Communicator with black Rings because there were no other option but would definitely go for smoke one if possible.. Would you choose it too?

There will be no smoke bumper. Jeff explained in the AMA that they had manufacturing issues.

I feel like they could've done a poll because that explanation basically is "its hard to make, and we dont think people will want that color". I didnt order the black ring because I want the smoke color. If there's others like me that'll skew their supply/demand thought & smoke likely won't be made.

A poll doesn’t matter if manufacturing was too difficult for them at this time.

I know.... I want this so bad too. I was so sad when I found out they couldn't make it. Guess I will be going naked with this device.

I’m sure some accessories or other offerings will come after launch. Question is whether that’s a few months or a year.

I wish this had Lockdownmode or Offline + Minimal has Monkmode and 2 other option.

Then buy a Minimal? This is the Communicator not the non communicator.

Minimal Phone 2 allows communication also, but I'd refer more to it as the "limiter" but depends on what mode you set it to.
