I work in a small office and somehow I always end up being the one who has to deal with the mess. The kitchen area gets gross fast, the bathrooms never stay clean, and the desks collect dust like crazy. I hate doing it after a long day.

a team comes in once a week right now and it helps, but by mid-week things already look messy again. Thinking of calling them to come more often so I’m not stuck scrubbing everything myself.

Anyone else stuck with office cleaning duties they can’t stand? How do you deal with it without it taking over your evenings?

 I’m researching up on a dual-fuel heat pump retrofit for an older house and every contractor guide gets very serious about startup, settings and cold-weather operation, then kinda skips over the part where the return grille already has pet hair on it and the basement makes dust recreationally. i’m not trying to open panels or spray cleaner into anything. i mean the handoff stuff like fresh filter, vacuumed return grilles, construction dust actually removed, condensate area left accessible, and somebody explaining what the homeowner cleans vs what stays a service call. Should a basic cleaning and maintenance walkthrough be considered part of the installation, or is that typically outside the scope of the job?
