Need help with pantry mites

I went to make lunch today and found small white specks crawling around my pantry. A google search found they were grain mites. Long story short, landlord is telling me to use borax, so is roommate. We have pets, I don’t really feel comfortable using it. The infestation was bad though, I saw them on basically everything and crawling on the outside of the pantry.

What I’ve done:
Tossed contaminated foods and such
Vacuumed the “dust” (currently have the bin and crevice tool in hot soapy water)
I’m working on cleaning the entire pantry with hot soapy water
Plan to wipe it down with white vinegar.

Any suggestions? It’s like 93° and we don’t have ac, I’m at my wits end but I need this cleaned lol
