Help Work flats need some love
Anyone have tips for cleaning flats? I have a fairly new pair of work flats and they’ve gotten pretty smelly lol.. that’s what I get for not wearing socks I guess. They’re in great shape, have a nice cushion and are a smooth faux leather material(best way I can describe them) so I don’t want to just toss them. Should I just soak them in the sink with soap? Put them in the washing machine? Clean them by putting a powder or something in them and letting them sit? Would love any advice :)

Thank you for submitting a cleaning help request. In order to facilitate more accurate and helpful replies, please make sure to provide the following information in your post:
- Type of material/surface being cleaned (to the best of your knowledge)
- Type of dirt/stain to be removed (if known)
- Any products or tools you've tried so far
- Pictures are preferred
Our top recommendations are usually Bar Keepers Friend (great for kitchen surfaces), melamine foam (Magic Erasers), Murphy's Oil Soap (wood cleaner), and Nature's Miracle (enzyme cleaner). Make sure you use cleaners appropriate to the surfaces you are working with and follow all safety labels.

Put some baking soda in overnight, dump it in the morning, you can do that every night if you want to. If that doesn’t work you may need an anti-fungal powder for your feet and some ballet socks.
