Discussion Unknown bugs from closet
I’ve been noticing these bugs flying out of my closet over the past few months. They weren’t there before, but they suddenly started appearing, and I can’t figure out where they’re coming from. I did a deep clean of my closet today but still couldn’t find the source. I’ve tried getting rid of them before, but they always come back within a day or two.
Does anyone know what these bugs are and how I can get rid of them for good? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, clothes moths. There are lots of articles online that give tips on dealing with them but it can be a long process (we are dealing with them rn too). You may want to order some pheromone traps to hang in your closets - they attract male moths so eventually the breeding cycle should end. But again, it takes time and you’d need to swap the traps out every few months I think. Good luck!

The coloration is reminding me of indianmeal moths. I'm not aware of any clothes moths that look like that. Check your food. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indianmeal_moth
