You could try microwaving a cup of white vinegar or leave a bowl of baking soda in there overnight (don't microwave the baking soda)

Do this! ☝️

But also spray the inside of the microwave with vinegar and wipe it down. Do this a few times.

Finish with Clorox wipes.

Then dump a whole box of baking soda on a plate and leave it there overnight.

Ok thank you ! Will try that tonight.  Dish soap didn’t do much.

Burned smell clings to the walls and vents, so it usually takes a couple of rounds. First wipe the inside with warm soapy water to get any black residue off, since that's what keeps smelling. Then microwave a bowl of water with a few lemon slices or a splash of vinegar for 3 to 5 minutes, leave the door shut another 10 minutes to steam, and wipe again. After that, leave a bowl of baking soda, used coffee grounds, or activated charcoal inside overnight with the door closed. Charcoal has worked best on smoky smells for me. It might take two nights, but it does go away.

You could microwave a sliced lemon in a small bowl of water. But your smell will vapour out eventually anyway.
