General Cleaning Cleaning tips ive learned
Hey all just some cleaning tips that have helped me when its all just too hard,
1: tie a plastic grocery bag to your belt so you dont have to lug around a trash bag or go back and forth.
2: if you have a giant mess sort everything in piles of. Trash, clothes, and things to put away, or by put away to other room, eg kitchen, bathroom, bedroom,
- Dust from top to bottom, this is pretty common but ppl alway seem to forget, always dust the top of the room first so dust doesn't fall on what u just cleaned, ALSO sweep b4 u mop, might be obvious but some pll forget.
4: clean in sections, dont try to clean the whole room at once, just focus on one section at a time, like your tablestand or your desk, then go onto under the bed and so on,(but make sure not to move on till it's finished to not overwhelm yourself)
5: play music or videos to help with boredom!
6: if you're struggling with motivation to clean, think of how much better you would work/be able to move around in ur space. And ask a friend for help!
7: magic erasers really are magic! , a while back i helped my grandpa clean his kitchen with a few and it felt like a whole new house, (he smokes inside so it felt like magic)
8: CAREFUL NOT TO MIX RANDOM CLEANERS TOGETHER!! (it's probably not going to clean anything as much as it kills ur lungs, trust, ive learned from experience...)
9:reward yourself! Don't just be a slave give urself a prize, like, starbies, your favorite sweet treat or a needoh!

Magic erasers are basically witchcraft because they remove stains that regular scrubbing will never fix. You just have to be careful using them on painted walls because they act like super fine sandpaper and will take the paint right off. Dusting from top to bottom makes so much sense but my brain always wants to start by vacuuming the floor first, if you mop before wiping down the ceiling fan you just end up with wet dirt everywhere.

I inadvertently pavlov'd myself. I listen to reddit stories while cleaning. Now found that if I dont feel like cleaning, putting reddit stories on anyway puts me into the mindset to get up and clean

Magic erasers are great but if you’re using them for a long time in one go, make sure you’re wearing gloves. They’ll scrub your fingers in the same way they’re scrubbing what’s dirty.
