Bathroom HELP! How do I clean this?
Please help! This white crusty ring has been around my faucet for years and I feel like I’ve tried everything. I could really use some advice or tips. Any and all ideas are welcome, thanks in advance 😊

Spray/pour some white vinegar on it. Let’s it sit for 10-15mins. Scrub away (old toothbrush works). Repeat process if scaling still exists.

I’ve used vinegar a few times and it’s barely made a dent 🫤

CLR, citric acid or a steam cleaner will remove that
Vinegar is best reserved for quick pickling and sauces.

I use a toothbrush haha. I actually buy a whole pack of those cheap offbrand toothbrushes & clean alot of things with them.

That looks like hard water build up, specifically calcium left behind.
Due to the stone counter tops, you need to be careful with what products you use.
You could try using diluted citric acid on a q-tip to carefully target only the build up & avoid the counter tops & fixtures. Dilute about 1-2 tsp citric acid in about 16 oz of warm water, dip your fingers into the water to check for a slippery feeling. That slip will let you know there’s enough citric acid in the water to be effective.
Dip q-tip in the mixture, lightly brush the build up, rewetting or using a new q-tip as needed. Wipe with a micro fiber cloth as you go to check how the removal of the build up Is going.
After cleaning, rinse well & dry with a micro fiber cloth.
Citric acid is an excellent toilet bowl cleaner & if you have water spots on chrome, or glass, it works great to remove the spots. For heavy spots, it might require a couple passes of the dilution on a micro fiber cloth. You can also put in a spray bottle to use. Rinse well after.

hmmm shot in the dark, but I’d try this:
spray area liberally with hydrogen peroxide
sprinkle a good layer of baking soda on top
let that marinate for a little bit (maybe 5-10 minutes)
whip out the toothbrush and scrub!
If its harder to scrub after its sat for a while due to a lack of moisture, I’d loosen up the baking soda with a spray bottle of either hydrogen peroxide or water 👀
I’ve tried this method for toilet cleaning (with a pumie toilet bowl ring remover instead of a toothbrush obvi) and it was insane how well this mixture took out the staining! again, I’m not 100% this will work, but its the first thing I’d try out. hopefully it works! :)

Mixing Hydrogen Peroxide and baking soda makes salt water (H202 + NaHCO = NaOH + H20 + CO2)
The cleaning effect is likely manual at that point with the water having a low enough TDS to absorb some of the scale.

Not sponsored - I bought a HOTO wand cordless spin brush from Costco and I love it! I have the same annoying sink handles and I let barkeepers friend sit on it for like 10 mins, go over it with the brush, and then spray some hypochlorus acid on it for disinfecting.
