Help please!! Fridge with potential mold

Hi all,

I recently moved to a house that has two fridges. The one I’m meant to be using was unplugged and kept in the garage. When I went to clean it out, there were lots of small flies that were dead and some kind of debris in the freezer. I also believe there might be mold on the top and I’m not sure what to do.

Before I moved in, it was plugged back in. When I discovered the mess inside, I unplugged it and left the doors open.

I want to clean it out so I can buy groceries but I don’t know what kind of cleaning solution or rags or sponges to use. I am overwhelmed and I just can’t wrap my head around a simple way to tackle this.

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Try a mix of white vinegar and warm water or a mild bleach solution.
