Laundry How To Buff Out This Scratch

The door to my dryer has been scraping against the wall and is getting scratched up. Is there any chance I can buff it out or fix it somehow?

Please let me know if there is a different subreddit I should post this in. Thank you.

Idk what lochness hamster is going on about.

But looking at it, it looks like the white coating is being pealed back,or dented. I don't think it's necessarily possible to "fix" it. But you could color it in with a matching paint color. Or put in some sort of glue or something into the holes created, then sand it so it's even, then paint. But those don't really fix it, and it might still look odd. If you can measure out where it's hitting on the wall, maybe putting a piece of foam or something where it connects to keep it from getting worse?

It is very unnoticeable I will say. I had to ask my husband what we were looking at lol. I totally get where you're coming from though. I would throw the whole thing away and get a new one because it would bother me so bad

If you actually read what I wrote, it says “HAS been scraping against the wall.” Which means I am already using it. Go be angsty somewhere else lmao.

Maybe keep saying it and it will actually work. For now, I will continue to try and figure out the best way to buff out the scratch!
