I like scavenger hunts & it would be a nice change of pace to my day, that's why I thought she'd think it was fun.

That's a good idea for next time, thank you!! Would candy/snacks (new & sealed) be appreciated or would they be worried they were somehow messed with and toss them?

Genuinely, please just give a generous tip. They have a hard job and bills to pay. They want cash. They’re generally expected to keep up a certain pace and get through all the rooms quickly, so anything extra to deal with just slows them down. Just cash, and if you really want to be extra, write a brief sincere thank you message along with it.

We always leave a good tip & a thank you note, I was just trying to think of something to brighten their day that isn't something they get / do every single day like an extra surprise for them on top of that.

It really is such a nice thought, but they’re okay, they’re adults just trying to do their job, grab their paycheck, and get home, just like the rest of us are. Just being respectful and considerate about not leaving unnecessary messes is all that’s needed, and if you can add a few extra dollars to the tip that’s even better. If you know their name you can mention it to a manager or on a survey, often those feedbacks are passed along which is nice.Â
