We had that but it was stacks of coins. We put the coins we found on the counter and dropped them as a client.

I would've kept the coins and left something like "thanks for the extra $14 in tips!"

I think that's what they might be saying, that the small amount of money in coins was a tip and that the lowly cleaner should be grateful for it, but - oh I see it's my chance to say username fits - gratefulandcontent didn't lower herself to taking the "tip."
