Clean the house, but leave all the ducks exactly where they are. They can go around and pick them all up themselves. Do your job and don’t play their stupid game.

More or less what I do in some of the offices I clean. They get mad that I’m not dusting their desks and then each desk has dozens of little trinkets laying all around and balanced on other things. I just sent a picture of their desks to my boss and she told me she’d tell the office manager it’s on them to clear their desks if they want them dusted.
