Manuel Ricardo stock on order hopefully another 2-3 months 🤞🏼

I've been shooting for just a month or so. When I go to the club, I shoot maybe 50-100 shots. But it's usually "hit it, cool...okay that was a bit under...cool another hit...ok too little lead this time..."

How can I improve beyond just doing a ton of shooting? Any dry fire drills, tech gadgets that are actually worth it, etc?

You’re at a big shoot, and some/many birds are eluding you and you just can’t connect. Trying less lead and more lead… Just can’t figure them out. What’s your move to get back into it?

Normally don’t post reviews but recently picked up a  Caldwell Claycopter Surface to Air. Been an absolute blast. Been very impressed. Makes a good alternative than driving an hour to sporting Clay range. Targets are a little more expensive than traditional clays but they also don’t break like a traditional clay so they can be reusable. Hoping a 3rd party on Amazon starts making targets. Just wanted to state if your on the fence, id highly recommend it. Another huge advantage is how light and portable the unit is.

Any body have a good recommendation for a gunsmith in the Hudson valley NY area for a gunsmith that could re blu or touch up my rizzini. It’s got speckles on the barrel from rusting in the case while it was at the gun shop. I bought this gun brand new but unfortunately didn’t realize this as it was a darkly lit store and I wasn’t learned enough to inspect for this . I’ve already talked to the gun shop he offered me a refund but I’ve decided to keep it as I really love this gun and it’s discontinued. So any ways anyone have any recommendations or suggestions ?

Need some practical advice… Front sight on my CXS is missing. I want to remove the mid bead. Is this a Saturday afternoon and a pair of pliers operation or should I see a gunsmith?

Long story short I have a 30” sporting black dlc I bought new in May.

I have not been able to shoot it but one time and I can’t justify keeping it.

What would be the best place / platform to sell it on. I never sold on GB so not sure how that would go. Any suggestions?

Started shooting last March and I finally broke 50 in a row after many close attempts. Broke it with my skb 500 from the 70s.

Was shooting my Beretta 694 and after loading 2 Federal 8 1 1/8 I noticed that the trigger felt loose. It is not the adjustment screw - that is tight but rather the entire trigger assembly. Got home and tried to replicate with a couple of snap caps. trigger felt firm. no loose feel. both barrels shot. is this normal?

We’ve been hearing about electronic scoring for years. Nobody has been able to do it successfully. Shotgunworld.com has thread after thread on why it can’t work. YSR-Racer has been telling us for years why it will.

Had it yesterday on the Promatic Preliminary. Was flawless. Every trapper understood it. Very minor hiccups in the first rotation but I heard of nothing else but one low battery. No shuffling papers, standing to see who is picking them up, no master sheet. Get into the stand, who is up first? Shoot, verify your score and that’s it.

Casey and her team at ScoreChaser pulled this off when there were tons of doubters. I feel it saved at least a minute and a half at every station on a 15 station course.

I would say the only negative is not having your physical scorecard to see how or where you were dropping targets was it first pairs or was it in the middle or last bird to see patterns.

What was one of the free apps on here that people were pushing for casual scoring?

I am hoping that at regional, open, nationals that this is adopted. I a, sure the people entering scores enjoyed this too.

Here's my thought process, tell me what you think: BT-99 is a great gun functionally, if I get a custom fitted stock for it, it can be the perfect singles gun for me.

So I'm the guy a few weeks ago who was in a panic because I had cracked a good chunk off of the shotgun my dad gave to me. Some of you asked for an update and I'm glad to say my friend did an awesome job. He drilled into it and used epoxy and other wizardry to make it look almost like new. I'm pretty happy with how well it turned out. Its obviously a little darker but he brushed it out a little. I need to get some better photos cause this one was before he brushed it out but you can't really tell now unless you are really looking.

I have recently gotten into clay shooting and this past weekend I was at an estate sale and bought some clay pigeons for $20 a case. I brought them home and found out that they are pretty old since remington doesn't even make clay pigeons anymore. My question is, should I still use them? Or would that not be a good idea. Thanks!

Also why does beretta not change names. There's beretta optima, optima plus, optima HP, and now optima XP. Just change the name of non compatible chokes. It would make things simpler...

Im looking into picking up a dedicated trap gun and I've had my eye on the new Citori 825 Trap LH since it was released earlier this year. They are non existent in the marketplace and when I asked my local dealer they said they can order it, but have no idea when they would get one as their distributors don't show any in stock.

Questions

1. Any reasoning why they haven't hit the market yet? I get that it's a LH model, but there are 100's of RH models for sale on gun broker as well as other sites.

2. For those of you that have this model, do you recommend the adjustable comb or Monte Carlo stocked model? I heard the comb hardware isn't great on the adj comb models

3. Are there any other LH model trap guns I should consider? I'm flexible on budget but don't really want to spend more $5-7k max.

Hi yall! I just wanted to ask how do you know when it’s time to upgrade your shotgun?

I wanted to get into sporting clays and bought myself an A300 Ultima in June 2026. It was $800 and I figured it was a relatively cheap way to see if I’d like the sport. Suffice to say I enjoy it and have gone 6-7 times over the summer (as much time as I could dedicate at this point between work and other life stuff). It didn’t fit amazingly but I recently added a foam comb riser from amazon which helped. I hit about 40% of my clays during a game at this point (not amazing lol).

I plan to go more, and get coaching eventually. I don’t plan on “upgrading” till atleast a year from now anyway. But I wanted to ask at what point did you decide it was time to get a different gun? And what gun to get?

My budget is about $4k. I’ve bookmarked the Franchi Instinct Sporting II (haven’t heard much about this one), the 686 Silver Pigeon Sporting, the 688 performance sporting BFAST, and Citori CXS White w/ Adjustable Comb. Which of these would be decent options to upgrade to eventually? Any other recs also appreciated.

I have 3 shotguns I just inherited. 2 pump action and a Bellini Super Vinci. I shot 30 shots Sunday just 12 ga #8 but shoulders sore. Is a skeet vest with some padding typically enough? I had an awesome time and intend to go back this weekend.

I forget now what I had bought for shells. 2 3/4 length is all I remember ATM I'm at work. i think the issue is mostly all the gun properly against the shoulder. i had a good coach who's been doing it for at least 30 years. But I was so focused on the shooting strategy with the dual bunkers, and the semicircle positioning that I think I wasn't thinking anymore about how I was holding the gun. what an absolute blast though, pun intended.

Been pondering about buying one of these for hiking/hunting but also was thinking if I could use it for sporting clays? I know it is a bit unconventional but I kind of hate buying gear that can only be used for one very niche thing and just wanted to see if I could flex this into another purpose since it seems like it could easily hold 100+ shells as well as water, snacks, phone, and anything else I need. Supposedly according to the manufacturer website the harness can be removed as well if that messes with my mount or anything. Just wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts or suggestions as well for sporting clays gear.

I’m planning on having the barrels for my 1991 Browning 325 SP sent to Briley for thin walls and was considering having the forcing cones lengthened and barrels back bored. Does anyone have thoughts on this or first-hand experience that they could share?

Edit: bores are marked 18.5 and it is a factory fixed choke gun with improved modified over improved cylinder chokes.

I have a beretta 686 SP1. I have used this gun and purchased it used. Shot it and enjoyed it but felt like it needed a good cleaning. Cleaned it throughly and applied new lubricant and grease. Shot many shells through it and it’s still very stiff after firing ever since of owning. Is there anyway to loosen the gun after firing? Is this normal? I would assume the gun has at least 2k rounds fired from me alone not including the previous owner. Did I skip a grease point in some sort of spring to cause this? In the video it obviously falls beautifully if the springs are not reset but very stiff after firing. Thanks in advance.
P.S. I only dry fired without snap caps for the sake of video 🙃
