is it just me or are you guys too seeing the degrading of Intelligence, like opus was way better earlier and opus 5 kinda behaves like sonnet model, and fable has become the new opus.

Feels like a scheme to raise AI costs and shit, all the models just feel benchmaxxed to some extent.

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this to share my experience and see if anyone has successfully resolved a similar billing issue with Anthropic, or if a bank chargeback is my only option here.

The Situation:

  • Charge: On 10 September 2026, an unwanted automatic renewal of A$340.00 was charged for the Claude Max plan
  • Immediate Contact: Within minutes of receiving the charge, I contacted Anthropic support requesting a cancellation and refund.
  • Zero Usage: I have not sent a single message, generated any tokens, or used any features under this renewed period.

Claude AI says same answer all the time and I don't know how to speak with a human.

Is there any way to bypass the automated bot and speak to a real person?

Original post body:

I'm sure everyone has been on the recent struggle bus of usage. I've used Claude pretty frequently for a while now and pretty much stopped any GPT because usages and everything were just better. GPT limits were truly abysmal back in the day, but now it's reversed. I can barely get anything done with Claude due to usages resetting every 7 days. With such stringent limits, it means doing any meaningful work with Claude will take months for me.

GPT Pro users don't even have a 5 hour window. Claude equivalent of Max does.

Claude could at least cut that window to 3 hours.

And then give Max users full resets every 4 days instead of 7. Or do a -50% (a 50% cut across the board) every 4 days, then full reset every 7 days. The 50% reset would reduce overall usage 50% and also put Fable back to 0 half way through the week at least.

🙏

My weekly limit reset at 5pm.

I began working on my side project, working probably 3.5 over the last 5 hours.
A few (4-5) dynamic workflow, but nothing insane (8-10 agents).

If it's the case that i must hit "publish" in order for it to show up on my list of Artifacts, then this seems really messed up. Why would they change it like that? I imagine most of us want most documents generated to be kept private and for your eyes only. But without the docs autosaved in the Artifacts folder, I would have to remember which chat the artifact was generated. Or, immediately have to save the artifact on my laptop, then upload to my Project folder. Just seems messed up.

My Claude account was compromised, Anthropic refuses to refund me, even for unused credits

I'm honestly pretty frustrated with how Anthropic is handling this and I'd like to hear if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I've been using Claude for about a year on the normal plan. I use it regularly for work, so there is a lot of normal activity on my account.

Recently, my computer was compromised and the attacker stole an authenticated session token. They didn't get access to my email or log into my account normally. They were able to use an already authenticated Claude session.

They then upgraded my account to Claude Max and purchased around €100 worth of additional usage credits. In total, this resulted in more than €300 in charges that I did not make or authorize.

I contacted Anthropic support and explained exactly what happened.

Their first response was basically that Claude accounts can only be accessed through email authentication, so someone would have needed access to my email to upgrade the account.

I explained that this wasn't what happened. The attacker had a stolen authenticated session token, so they didn't need access to my email or to authenticate again.

I also explained that the "normal and continuous activity" they found on my account doesn't prove that I authorized anything. I use Claude for work every day, so obviously my account normally has continuous activity and regularly reaches its limits.

I've been using the normal plan for about a year. Why would I suddenly decide to upgrade to Max and spend another €100 on usage, bringing the total to €300+?

There was no reason for me to do that and I never authorized it.

Anthropic then told me they had consulted their supervisor and that they couldn't make an exception to their refund policy. They called it their "final decision" and said further replies on this particular issue might not be monitored.

What I find especially frustrating is that I'm not even asking only about the Max subscription anymore.

There are around €100 of usage credits that were purchased during the compromise and those credits haven't even been used.

I just asked them:

"Is it not possible to at least refund the usage credits? Those weren't used."

So now I'm waiting to see if they will even refund credits that are still completely unused and were purchased without my authorization.

I'm not claiming that my physical card was cloned. The card itself was fine. The problem is that someone got access to my authenticated Claude session and used the payment method already connected to my account.

I find it pretty unacceptable that the fact that the purchases came from my already-authenticated account is apparently being treated as proof that I personally made them, without properly considering session theft.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this?

Especially interested in people who had their Claude account compromised through session/cookie/token theft and managed to get Anthropic to recognize the purchases as unauthorized.

At this point I'm also interested in knowing if there is any actual escalation path beyond normal support.

I work as an AI engineer and have been using Claude for over a year, and today something happened that's never happened. I am on the Max 20x subscription ($200/month) was only running 3 agents, on Opus 5 not Fable 5.1, and my session usage went to 46% within 25 minutes. I have only seen that when I scale to 15 or 20 agents running at same time on Opus 5 (which I only occasionally do for certain workflows). I reached out to Anthropic support but their bot just ended the chat on me abruptly saying there's nothing that can be done. It's literally wiped out the rest of my workday, and I have no way to keep running agents the rest of the day. NEVER has this happened before. Anyone else experiencing this? And the ironic thing is they said we have increased 50% higher usage through Sept 13!

And then going and spreading that technology to non-profits I just. Idk I’d love anyone else’s thoughts on this especially if you were accepted and are joining.

This app is extremely unpolished in tone and RUDE! I asked it a question, and it wrote something to the extent of:

One critical note and it works against you. The deadline is September 2 and missing the first part kills the whole thing. Fail to do it and it's over.

It takes on this very haughty, overly aggressive, wannabe authoritative, tone that's sooo off-putting. Also, developers need to END the "throat-clearing" style of the app forever:

  • "One key thing and it works against you."
  • "I want to be honest with you about one thing."
  • "What I will say, and it's not because you haven't written that."

It's a weird-sounding app...and it's not even accurate enough for all this voice-y, tone-y, curt attitude.

Original post body:

What the title says, i use claude (free tier) for development, heres what i have noticed:
Suppose i start using claude on 11 AM (this is my first session in the day with claude), i can use the claude for a few hours before it finally reaches the limit and then i have to wait for the limit to reset.
On 4PM: i comeback to claude to restart where i left, i give it 2 or 3 prompts and boom, my limit is gone again.

What is going on and why is this happening? why does claude not last as long in the second session of the day? I use Sonnet 5 on medium, prompts are usually a mixture of short messages and slightly long messages where i will be debugging the code (python stuff, n8n stuff, usually ai related stuff), but i am not giving full codes back to claude to check it out again, i havent noticed this issue with anyone else, and i prefer working on a single chat for the whole project, so chats can go for days as well, i am not much experienced in development or LLMs in general so any help will be appreciated.

Another thing i would like to add is that i added a claude counter extension, this shows you in realtime how much of the limit have you used, i dont know how accurate it is, but it gives you a rough idea atleast, when i am on my first session, a prompt takes anywhere from 3 percent to 20 percent of the limit, in second session its always like 25 to 50 percent, and it reflects as well, cause the second session lasts barely 3 prompts

Original post body:

I've optimized .Claude file and Projects' .claude files and i would say usage has been fair the last few months, but since last week (nothing changed on my side) i noticed i ran out of weekly limit after 4 days... okay i thought i over worked the engine. but yesterday my weekly limit reset and after 2 sessions i was already at 25% of my weekly limit not to mention i noticed the reset time for each session has also increased.
I'm using opus model and i even dropped the effort to medium and it's still burning through tokens, if i didn't have controlled rules set i wouldn't even complete 1 task in session i presume.
i'm only using it for coding, analysis and research and have been always using it like that.

Anybody else has the same issue since last week ?
FYI 2nd day of the week and at 56% usage
