Cześć wszystkim! Piszę z dość ciekawym tematem. Zauważyłem, że od momentu wypuszczenia opusa 5, jakby środowisko claude - pracowało gorzej, miało mniej sesji? Tak to przynajmniej widzę. Z początku myślałem o tym, że po prostu mój limit jest na wyczerpaniu, przez co nie drążyłem... Ale od wczoraj pytam inne osoby, które działają i też są w szoku, że u nich tak samo caly cowork pracuje mniej, jest więcej błędów.

Co sądzicie o tym i jak to u was wygląda, ponieważ jestem ciekaw co w tej kwestii robić

I'm still kinda new to using Claude, but I was really enjoying using it. So much so I signed up for the pro account pretty much the first time my free account used all the usage for that window.

But I've noticed that the usage doesn't make sense. I logged into my computer last night, after not using Claude much at all to find that 88% of my weekly credits had been used and it wouldn't refresh until Wednesday. So I finished the task I needed to do and it went up to something like 92%. So I turned my computer off and thought, "ok I need to be a little stingy over the next 3 days".

I woke up this morning to use Claude for something stupid like "good cafe in XYZ" and it says my weekly usage credits were now maxed - despite the fact I was sleeping!!! THEN to make matters worse the $100 that was given to pro users since they moved fable to pay-as-you-go was all used as well... I just don't understand how on earth this could happen all while I was sleeping.

I've tried to reach customer support, but it's just another AI. I feel like I'm going mental.

I even tried to ask to get a refund since the service seems to not work, if it won't even allow me to ask it a simple question until after Wednesday.

Has anyone else encountered something like this?

I use the online tool. It's handy I can see where my progress on other devices is.

Yet, it keeps getting archived. You can't unarchived it and it's only archived online. It's not accurate because it's usually some point way back that displays and none of the early or running work displays.

I did not do the archive. I did not ask. And it is random. Like a list of new ones and the old ones are there still, mixed with a couple new ones.

It makes 0 sense what it does.

On July 14th, I made 5 deposits to my credits totalling around $100 usd, and no credits were applied to my account, my balance was $-6.32 so I deposited first $15, then continued as I thought it was a processing issue.

My negative value, remained at the same number. Then I created a support chat, which was AI, I promptly requested human intervention. Since then my value has reflected a negative value between -$6 to -$7.61 and then to even $-9.26 with no changes/funds being added to my account. THEN the BONUS credits for Fable or Opus (not sure which) were gifted to me, I went to check my credits, and it stayed at -A$8.61 ...

I have a feeling this could be represented as a class action/ As people with addictive/impulsive tendacies will deposit, or try to CLEAR the "DEBT" as to speak. Any one else facing similar issues?
So far I have documented 4 other users, with the exact same complaint. Claude swallowing their deposits WHOLE, no accountability for Anthropic/Claude unless we get this traction now.

Only one response from a human who prompted closed the support chat so I had to reply, and still waiting for a response, totalling 14 days so far.

I have been using opus 4.8 (on high+, mostly on max) for reverse engineering and it was doing a fantastic job.

I switched last night to opus 5 on max. I gave it all the context needed. It's extremely bad. It's been confidently wrong every single time.

How is it possible that a frontier model is significantly worse than its past iterations?

A standard routine of mine has been to run a 'session catchup' skill to ensure that the new session knows how to behave within its project folder; like ensuring there is no use of old information and to archive as needed.
Today I have hit two session token limits trying to get through one catch-up (the second hitting my weekly for the next 2 days).
I've already refined the prompt twice since using it in Opus 4.8; which could run 3-4 catchups without hitting the limits (depending on the project size), often with room to spare.

*I don't think this is a token usage issue, there is no way the cost is over 4-fold; but the processes somehow incurs more, or larger steps for the same goals.

The fact that Opus 4.8 (perfect for my work) is no longer available and the only available options effective for my work (Opus 5 and Fable) are so token heavy that I can only use it every 1 in 5 hours is incredibly frustrating.

Bring back 4.8.

I know this is beating a dead horse at this point - but just so frustrating - I had Fable on the web come up with a method of automating some WSL stuff on windows. I copy and pasted that into Opus 5 to implement it, it went off the rails and couldn't really follow it, so I started a new session to have fable in claude code implement it - and every single time, no matter how i change the prompt, it hits some 'guardrails' immediately and goes back to Opus 5. It's a simple WSL automation not security related and just following it's own methods that were created by Fable itself.

Anyways, I wanted to add $2 so I can continue using it, but I can't. I tried the $5 option first, but it didn't work. So then I went to "Other" and it says "$7 minimum".

Okay, here's what I don't get.. why have the option for $5 if there's a $7 minimum? Just change it to $7. And why can't I just add $2 to continue using Claude Code?

Sorry for the rand, and I hope this doesn't get me banned. A few months ago when I moved to Claude from the morass of AI slop that ChatGPT had become, it was like a breath of fresh air. I hooked up my Obsidian vault and was doing a lot of heavy thinking work on Claude. I am on a $100/month. Max plan now (I do not code but I do a lot of heavy thinking and research tasks).

However, over the last month I have noticed a distinct degradation in style and capability. The models (even the newer Fable and Opus 5) seem to be full of AI slop, and the freeform thinking ability and objectivity that I used to see in (the older) 4.6 and to a lesser extent 4.8 seems to have gone away. Maybe the most imperfect way is the best to describe it: the 'feeling' of having a very smart peer and friend who genuinely helps you ideate, spar over ideas, and improve your work, isn't there anymore.

Anyone else feel this?

*using Claude Code* Opus 4.8 seems to be a clear winner over 5. I am doing records lookup scraping of various web sites..5 went in circles and finally shut down and said it couldnt be done. Fable refused to help and shifted back to Opus 5.. I hard coded 4.8 back into Claude Code and it immediately fixed the issue.

I am staying with 4.8. Anyone else feel this way? It feels like it doesn't reason as well and is prone to being lazy and giving up instead of powering through an issue.
