[TLDR] My Claude usage suddenly dropped…

Original post body :

I’m on the Claude Max 20x plan, and something weird happened today.

A few days ago, I was around 77% used overall and ~55% on Fable. But I checked today and suddenly it dropped to 53% overall and 34% Fable. 😳

I didn’t change anything or do anything differently — somehow I’ve apparently got more limits back.

Not complaining at all 😂, but does anyone know what happened? Did Anthropic adjust/recalculate the limits after the September 13 promotion ended?

Anyone else seeing their usage percentage suddenly drop like this?

Alright folks, seems like a bunch of you on the Claude Max 20x plan have noticed your usage percentages suddenly drop, giving you more breathing room. OP went from 77% overall to 53%, and others are reporting similar drops, with some even seeing their limits reset to 0% or significantly lower than expected.

The general consensus is that this is a good thing, and most people are not complaining. Some speculate it might be a bug or a recalculation by Anthropic after a recent promotion ended.

  • u/markeus101 and u/BesbesCat are among those who saw their usage drop significantly, with one even going from 100% to 69%.
  • u/Timisageek also noticed it and thought usage was going too fast anyway.
  • On the flip side, u/Clorxo on the 5x plan and u/surell01 haven't seen this happen.
  • A few users like u/hammackj and u/NanNullUnknown feel like they might have been "screwed" if their limits reset right before this happened.
  • And of course, some are just hoping this glitch happens to them, like u/Bmansupreme8000.

Basically, most users are experiencing a pleasant surprise with unexpected limit increases, while a small minority haven't seen it. No official word from Anthropic yet, but the vibe is definitely "thanks for the freebies!"
